I have never laughed so hard with you over the colonoscopy. From the gift and goodies to Jamie’s colonoscopy bag.😂. I love that you shared it with us. You’re not the only man or woman that has been anxious about this procedure. It’s sad if there’s others out there that responding negatively. My husband drove up to West Jefferson to see about our cabin. He had to crawl over a significant mudslide to get to it, but the cabin was thankfully OK. He said the devastation is so much worse in person than in the pictures. If he were younger and as strong as he used to be, I’m sure he would have jumped right in to help, but he is no longer that man. Me too. I wish I had my younger boy to go up there and help. We can pray and donate. We rent out our cabin and lost all our October guests, which was going to be such a blessing for us. We are just grateful the cabin is still on the side of the mountain.
I’m so sorry to hear that, but I’m glad your cabin was not destroyed. I have reservations to stay at a cabin in Murphy, North Carolina, which was spared from the flood and devastation, so hopefully I can help contribute to the tourism and any type of supplies when I get up there for Thanksgiving!

You can see my cabin if you Google Stargazers Retreat West Jefferson NC. It is little and cozy. It is what we could afford and are still paying for it. Airbnb made a mistake and was blocking us from getting guest all the way until September, but we did not know it. We just thought no one wanted to rent it. So, October was rented every weekend and then this happened. The entire area relies on tourist coming up for the fall colors. Not only have some lost everything, they may have also lost their jobs due to businesses being destroyed. It is just horrible for everyone. I don’t know how some of the families will come back from this. Insurance is not going to cover mudslides at all. I’m sure most that even had insurance did not have flood coverage.
Regarding polyps in colon, I have a male friend who in his first colonoscopy turned out to have several polyps. After they were removed, cancer was found. His father died of colon cancer so it was a very good thing that the cancer was small and removal meant the cancer was prevented from spreading. My friend now gets the procedure every year or so, and never complains.
Watching the replay, sorry I was watching Jami's video of your colonoscopy bloopers😆😆😆 Boy do I know how it feels like to be completely alone when youre in a very dark place... All I had was my kids, you guys, and the babies to bring me joy and comfort.🙏💜
In Colorado Springs I go to gastroenterologist place called GACS, and they have the bottoms up Cafe. It's mostly coffee and the names of the different flavors of coffee are hilarious the whole attitude is light and relaxing. And of course if you're a patient you get free coffee. Proud of you for how you went through this and documented it for others. God bless you

Any time I see something on the news that doesn't sound quite right, I make it my job to check at least two (or more) sources before I get angry about it. It's just not a time to take any one source for granted. That's just me. It was fun watching you coming out of your procedure. I live in SC and different communities in our town are making just about daily trips to NC to deliver supplies. They are actually taking a huge load of breast milk that mothers have in their freezer tomorrow to help feed babies since they cannot get formula. Lester, the growth is called a polyp, two syllables. The accent is on the first syllable. It is pronounced, "PAH" Lip. Most of them are benign. The reason you can't remember what happened is that the anesthesia gave you amnesia. You are still able to follow instructions and carry on a conversation. You just can not remember any of it. That's why the doctor does not talk to you a lot after the procedure. You are still loopy and will forget most of it anyway. He will probably talk to you more at your postop visit. 😂 I am so glad you had good reports. That old saying, "A stitch in time saves nine," goes double when it comes to medical conditions. Don't let anyone shame you about feeling apprehensive. 😂 It is normal to feel anxious before surgery. Even a hangnail is serious when it is on YOUR OWN FINGER! It's all done, now. It's all good. It is time to sit back, put your feet up, and breathe a sigh of relief on your comfy new couch. God bless you always. 🙏🩵😍🩵🙏

I had mine when I was 28 here in uk they only offer some sedation but ask you to go through without it , the prep is the hardest and the procedure was uncomfortable ,remember no sedation so I felt everything but thankfully I only had IBS, I was quite jealous you got to sleep through it but lester you was so funny waking up lol love from uk

I’m glad everything went well yesterday and hope you get good results. Jami’s video of you post procedure is hilarious. It’s been at least 10 years since I had my first one, the Pico-Salax that I had to drink was incredibly disgusting. Since my dad passed from colon cancer I needed one every 2-3 years and only had one polyp that first time. Since all the others came back clean I’ve been able to do just a fecal test the last couple of times and since they’ve both come back clean I haven’t had to go through any cleansing or procedure. I’m glad to hear that Sadie is ok, I guess she just wasn’t hungry at that time. Hope your day is a good one.❤️❤️
Just suggestion if you have time, it would be really good to put together all the post leading up to your colonoscopy as a kind of training or preparation video. The ones the medical professionals put out without feeling They don’t deal with fears, the bewilderment, and wonder what’s going to happen stuff. And finish it off with Jamie’s final video of you coming out of the procedure and your antics. I truly believe a video like that would put so many men ‘s mind at ease.

These doctors have heard many things said while under the influence of their drugs. The last time I had a spinal block, I told the anesthesiologist (I had seen for every spinal block over 20yrs) that I loved him and was praying for him.
That happened to my mom several years back with her teeth. Her seeingeye dog stole them from her night stand. Unfortunately, they were found in the livingroom in pieces lol she had to go about 2 weeks with noteeth till new set came in

I think every one who has had this "procedure" for the first time has had their share of anxiety. Its nice that people try to make you feel better, but until you go through it you just don't know. When I had mine I went through such similar feelings and experiences. AND when I was coming out of that "lovely la la land" I was so happy. I know that everyone you spoke with as you were "coming to" enjoyed the heck out of you. There are videos on You tube of people coming out of anesthesia and they are so funny. I know you will love them.🤣
Lester, we’re so glad the colonoscopy is behind you, no pun intended. I hated it but the only bad part for me was the IV. Needles totally freak me out and the first coherent thing I remember saying after I woke up was get this out of me, pointing to the IV. I said I wanted pizza, and my Dr said I was crazy but I had that slice, and it was great with no issues 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've also had both hands done and it was annoying but it was the best thing I've ever done. Me too. I check a source from each side and then at least one from another country.

Lester, the growth is called a polyp, two syllables. The accent is on the first syllable. It is pronounced, "PAH" Lip. Most of them are benign. The reason you can't remember what happened is that the anesthesia gave you amnesia. You are still able to follow instructions and carry on a conversation. You just can not remember any of it. That's why the doctor does not talk to you a lot after the procedure. You are still loopy and will forget most of it anyway. He will probably talk to you more at your postop visit. 😂 I am so glad you had good reports. That old saying, "A stitch in time saves nine," goes double when it comes to medical conditions. Don't let anyone shame you about feeling apprehensive. 😂 It is normal to feel anxious before surgery. Even a hangnail is serious when it is on YOUR OWN FINGER! It's all done, now. It's all good. I had mine when I was 28 here in uk they only offer some sedation but ask you to go through without it , the prep is the hardest and the procedure was uncomfortable ,remember no sedation so I felt everything but thankfully I only had IBS, I was quite jealous you got to sleep through it but lester you was so funny waking up lol love from uk

I’m glad everything went well yesterday and hope you get good results. Jami’s video of you post procedure is hilarious. It’s been at least 10 years since I had my first one, the Pico-Salax that I had to drink was incredibly disgusting. Since my dad passed from colon cancer I needed one every 2-3 years and only had one polyp that first time. Since all the others came back clean I’ve been able to do just a fecal test the last couple of times and since they’ve both come back clean I haven’t had to go through any cleansing or procedure. I’m glad to hear that Sadie is ok, I guess she just wasn’t hungry at that time. Hope your day is a good one.❤️❤️

These doctors have heard many things said while under the influence of their drugs. The last time I had a spinal block, I told the anesthesiologist (I had seen for every spinal block over 20yrs) that I loved him and was praying for him.
That happened to my mom several years back with her teeth. Her seeingeye dog stole them from her night stand. Unfortunately, they were found in the livingroom in pieces lol she had to go about 2 weeks with noteeth till new set came in

I think every one who has had this "procedure" for the first time has had their share of anxiety. Its nice that people try to make you feel better, but until you go through it you just don't know. When I had mine I went through such similar feelings and experiences. AND when I was coming out of that "lovely la la land" I was so happy. I know that everyone you spoke with as you were "coming to" enjoyed the heck out of you. There are videos on You tube of people coming out of anesthesia and they are so funny. I know you will love them.🤣
Lester, we’re so glad the colonoscopy is behind you, no pun intended. I hated it but the only bad part for me was the IV. Needles totally freak me out and the first coherent thing I remember saying after I woke up was get this out of me, pointing to the IV. So many people struggling because of how much of your pay goes to taxes, and then when we need it, it’s been spent. Thank God for those who are stepping up. I found myself being concerned that the government will just keep relying on private donations and not use taxpayer monies for taxpayers, but then I realized that’s what they’re doing anyway😢
They are there and money and resources are there. Biden has already signed off on anything they have asked for. Lester, it's called Polops. After my procedure, I was so hungry. I said I wanted pizza, and my Dr said I was crazy but I had that slice, and it was great with no issues 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've also had both hands done and it was annoying but it was the best thing I've ever done. Gigi did the right thing and she'll be as good as new soon ❤❤❤❤

Couches look great you wouldn't want brown Couches as there is SO much of it. It's all neutrals. Just add some throw pillows a rug and it will all look great.
