As the quote goes..."some books are to be tasted and some are to be chewed and digested...."[Fransis Bacon I think]. Being a fan of yours I have watched all of your concepts and I must say that those are not easy things to be chewed and digested. I am still working on target notes and Bebop concepts; and for me all other concepts that you have published till date are chocolate cakes. Your concepts looks like a two page long PDF but those kick the butt like anything. Rest of the chocolate cakes are kept aside for the time being to be tasted later when I would feel hungry after digesting the previous concepts that you have shared with us in Digging dipper video series . Let the concepts flow...Thanks
Triad pairs are fun and I really like the way they structure lines differently. I'd love to go over to JazzWire as well as get some of the pdf's for the Digging Deeper series.... Unfortunately I don't have a working computer at this time. As soon as I have one that's up and running I'll be checking out what I can. Have to let you know how much I enjoy your videos, Jeff. Best regards from a fellow Canuck from Montreal. ☮☯️
Excellent Alex. So glad you enjoyed it. If you would, write us back at Jessica@ jazzwire.net, and give us your email address and location, and we'll make a note to plan something there.
Hey Jeff, Not sure how I ended up here this evening, but this is very difficult to play on guitar, because the C+ is symmetrical on guitar, but the F major triad is not. If I think whole tone and move up from C+ to D+ and keep moving in whole steps, it's only one note different from the 6 notes in this pair. The other idea which I like a lot is to go with the tritone of C7alt, using F# and E triads, which again is only one note different from the six notes of the altered triad pairs in this video. The only problem is there's a B natural in the E major triad which is a dissonant against a C7 alt. Any thoughts? Also, I noticed the bridge of Caravan is the nearly the same as the first 16 bars of Dig/ Sweet Georgia Brown. I see more quotes coming at jam sessions, LOL.
Very true about Caravan and Dig. You got it!! As for a Triad Pair on The C7, instead of F# and E, try F# and Ab/G# triads. That is a very traditional one, and a great sound. See you inside www.JazzWire.net, Dick. You are doing great work at Jazz Wire, and we can dig into this more there.
@@JeffAntoniukEducator I tried it out. Works great. All of the altered tones plus root and b7. Just missing the 3rd, which is okay. The altered tones sound better! Thanks again, Jeff.
Hi :) I have proposition :> could You make video/videos about Harmonic Major cdefg a-flat b and his modes? You could tell something about diatonic chords possibilities and limitations offered by this set of sound in improvisation a few exercises etc what You say?
@@kukumuniu5658 Oh, sorry. Didn't read well enough. That's not a sound that I conceptualize or use through a scale like that. I more familiar with Melodic Minor Modes. Good luck!
I actually just finished eating a piece of chocolate cake before I started watching this video. Spooky! They might not be good for me, but these triad pairs taste pretty good too.
Man, that is what advanced alien civilizations are doing right now. Sitting around in their spandex outfits, eating chocolate cake and listening to triad pairs. I guarantee it!
Athens sounds good to me! If you would, write us back at Jessica@ jazzwire.net, and give us your email address and location, and we'll make a note to plan something there.
