- Participants at the 21st Anniversary of Paris Peace Accord reacted strongly to a comment made by Prime Minister Hun Sen that Cambodia had lost the rights to claim back Kampuchea Krom (lower Cambodia) and Koh Troal island.
In his five-hour speech to the National Assembly on August 9, the premier told the chamber that after Cambodia submitted a map, which did not include those pieces of land, to the United Nations in 1960s, it lost the legitimate rights to claim back the territory. VOA Khmer's Sok Khemara reports from the conference in Arlington, Virginia.

Using international law in hope of relcaiming Khmer Krom back will never work. Look at the past where Japan lost a number of islands to the Russian after WWII; look at lots of disputes in South China sea and elsewhere. Look at the Greeks Islands that taken by Turkey not long ago; and look at Tibet where overwhelming majority of the World Court voted for Tibet independence and the result exists in the record book only and not in reality of free Tibet.

The highest estimated of Vietnamese who live aboard are less than 3 millions and Vietnamese-Cambodian are roughly 100k according to most sources I known (including Wikipedia).
Cambodian currently have 15 millions, if there're 5 millions Vietnamese there then 1/3 Cambodian citizen are Vietnamese!? Rather ridiculous right!?

Kampuchea krom was belongs to Cambodia if we have to fight to get them back , but it get to start from people who live in Kampuchea Krom. Kampuchea Krom population have to create their own army to fight for Independent and then we go from there. Koh Troal is not the same situation as Kampuchea Krom , which is a gift from ours King to his Vietnam father -in-law and it also involves with French's government.
