The main characters of "XXL-Camper - The Motorhome Screwdrivers" are Lesz, a car mechanic of Polish origin, and Micha, an ex-model and actor. They've been colleagues and pretty much best friends since chance brought them together 20 years ago. "His problem is that he likes me," says Micha with a grin. Lesz is a rather taciturn master of his trade, while Micha is the eloquent account manager with a passion for inexpensive oil paintings. Your customers: from dropouts to spiritual healers. In episode 1, opposites collide. Lesz struggles with the Monday blues, a full workshop and waiting customers. Micha looks forward to extensive customer talks, including with globetrotter Jürgen-Peter. He gives tips for sunbathing, pitches and travel destinations.
The colossal US motorhomes that Lesz and Micha specialize in are considered exotic in this country, while mobile homes became a dream of millions during the pandemic. That's why Frank Böhm, who is responsible for editing the series, is also convinced "that we can arouse the curiosity of many people with this format and give them an authentic and unbiased insight into a very exciting world".
Many of the vehicles that are repaired and refreshed in Babenhausen cost several hundred thousand euros when new. And the customers of the "US Motorhome Service" are just as special as their vehicles.
