I am sure this is from 1 dance group with some dances incorporated with the other cultures. Being honest this was a nice attempt for the cultural center.
The event was held at the cultural center, but since the island is closed due to COVID the center has been functioning more as an event center. This was a local youth group, who used the center for their performance.
@@AmSamFam Not to sound like a spective but that's all dance groups in American Samoa are selling a mixture of all dance's in a some or all polynesian cultures. Just saying. It's nice to see something of PCC type stuff but I feel the cultural center should focus on the samoan culture. It needs to be a rich history of American Samoa and a water down part.
@@RC-yx7hi then go on the cultural event center’s page and tell them what they need to do. Your comment comes off backhanded. Just say the kids did a good job and be on your way
Thank you so much for sharing this with us all. You would have been so proud as well. This would have been good to watch it all as i wish we where there. Not long till they might be letting us travel to the Islands. Yay.
It was long, but we’ve been thinking of putting out some full-length videos of things like this, as well as hikes and snorkeling. The videos would be more raw, with very little editing, for anyone interested. So thanks for sharing your interest.
@@AmSamFam That is a great idea as spending so much time editing would be hard. You could even go live when you want and least you will get heaps of people on. Long videos are good and people want to see the good and bad. You are doing well.
@@AmSamFam You are so welcome. People love watching you as i know my partner and i love watching as we are coming to visit your beautiful place once everything is open.
I loved this! I enjoyed watching the dances! Hadley, you did great! I had to google Mesepa International Ward as I was not familiar with it. I grew up LDS and attended the Pago Pago ward way back when...80’s. Thank you for sharing!
Ecstatic that they have a cultural center. Whenever I'm in Hawaii, I always visit the PCC just to refresh my island roots as well as others in Polynesia.
@@AmSamFam definitely a must see. First time I saw it was back in the early eighties. Last time was 5 years ago. The Samoan village put on a great show and the comedy itself is worth the visit. But it's all great.
Enjoyed that immensely. Hadley did incredible! She said she messed up a couple times but if she did I did not catch it. Hey the older couple in green on the one dance... are they from the USA mainland also?
She was great! For her sake, I edited out the mess ups 😉 The older couple are from the Mainland US. They’re serving a medical mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He’s an orthopedic surgeon, training the local surgeons in knee replacements and she’s a certified counselor. They’ve been such an incredible asset and blessing to the island!
