I don’t get why so many people hate oikawa? I literally love him sm. His story breaks me, he worked so hard just to get into the nationals. And the fact that he’s a 3rd year breaks me even more:((
Oikawa had inferiority complexes (came from Ushijima and Kageyama) which when they appeared, the others projected those insecurities he had through hate onto him. The reason is sad.
The thing that always messes me up concerning Oikawa is that you have to remember he wasn't a prodigy a volleyball, which is why he had such a problem with Kageyama who could achieve the same things as him with far less work. Oikawa worked himself to the point of burnout basically all to go to nationals and he was robbed of the opportunity by that same naturally talented kid he had resented so much in middle school. I honestly can't imagine how that would've felt, to work so hard for so long and then be beaten by a first year with far less experience, who is still somehow better than you
Oikawa's life was cruel and unfair to him. I'm not saying that Kageyama wasn't having cruel times, but at least he wasn't robbed at opportunities, because of others. Imagine that you have dreams, but in these same kind of dreams, other people can interfere. Example Oikawa wanting to be at the Nationals and having Kageyama or Ushijima as obstacles in his way.
"I think I think too much" imagine just how many times Oikawa thought back to that one play that could've changed everything. Imagine just how much he thought, "if only I was better than him."

That was also my last year of highschool so I already quit 😌...
My favorite character in the entire series is Oikawa and Ushijima. I just think that despite of their differences in struggle and skills they are both well-written character and they do not deserve the hate at all.
The differences between Oikawa and Kageyama is, Kageyama embodies talent but lack of mental support (until he met Hinata), while Oikawa doesn't have the same talent but has mental support (Iwa-chan, who is always there to remind him what is right and what is wrong), not to mention he is extroverted. But, now after reading Kageyama's backstory, I hardly tell he is genius or prodigy. It's just, he has worked hard way longer than the others to the point he became inept in surrounding. i hated him because of that too. and while i can't guarantee you that you will love him once you learned to love yourself, i can tell you that it's good to have someone to relate to. i learned to love him because he is relatable to me, i slowly started to stop hating how similar we are. and that already made me love myself just a tiny bit more because loving him meant accepting someone that was like me.

I'm lowkey cackling (over the tears obvsly), like People commenting about why some people hate Oikawa? I didn't know that even was a thing oof. Butt people saying he had the saddest storyline for training so hard and then not going to Nationals? Like, yes, I'm also crying for Aoba Josai, butt keep in mind everyone trained hard, and enough people trained just as hard as he did. Most people on Karasuno trained incredibly hard for years, Kageyama may be a genius, butt he also trained as one of the hardest, even Hinata trained hard for years; and let's not forget the other teams; Dateko, Jozenzi, etc. Ushijima, who wants to be a volleyballplayer inspired by his father; Tendou, who is allowed to play the way he wants after years of being excluded; they all trained hard. [Manga Spoilers] Also, if that's sad, what is Karasuno supposed to say lol? After all, they trained and practiced and whatnot so hard, only to end up losing. Because in the end, only one team wins. Criiii.

I don´t like Oikawa. I don´t like his personality nor the way he acts and treats those around him. But the more I see of him, the more I relate. And I hate that. I know i´m seeing my insecurities in him. I know thats a large part of the reason why I dislike him. That I am projecting. So I wonder, once learn to love myself, will I learn to love him too?
I can relate to oikawa too like damnn and ik how it feels wen u r the only one who get hated and blamed i can feel the pain how he thinks he's not enough that's y he is my fav character i mean i can relate to him so even if he is fiction i still want to support him and also not just bc i relate to him idk but he really caught my intrest:)
i hated him because of that too. and while i can't guarantee you that you will love him once you learned to love yourself, i can tell you that it's good to have someone to relate to. i learned to love him because he is relatable to me, i slowly started to stop hating how similar we are. and that already made me love myself just a tiny bit more because loving him meant accepting someone that was like me.
You deserve more followers🤧👌🏻
This is really great 👍 , i know I have to subscribe. This is it , huff i was late but this ahhhh really amazing 💜 the lyrics and the scene match really well

thank you so much !!!!
Please I love him sm♥️😭this hurts so bad 😖 it was already so sad watching that in the anime but here it hits even harder 😖😭😭
But what a wonderful job♥️
Underrated
❤❤❤
I'm lowkey cackling (over the tears obvsly), like
People commenting about why some people hate Oikawa?
[Manga Spoilers]
Also, if that's sad, what is Karasuno supposed to say lol? After all, they trained and practiced and whatnot so hard, only to end up losing. Because in the end, only one team wins. Criiii.
As an Oikawa kin, I’m obsessed with this
he deserved to go to nationals I'm crying omg
i like how it zoomed on kageyama on the 'prettier' part and hinata on the 'boyfriend'
good attention to detail
nice...

Okay this edit just made me see Oikawa from another perspective. I always thought he was the annoying pick me boy who kinda bullys everyone that he doesn't like but this edit and his story just broke my heart. (I'm sorry for my bad English)
