Could you further elaborate what you mean by: "it's not advisable to use OLEDs for extended productivity work". I am a web developer and play some games in my free time. If not OLED, what would you recommend ?
Productivity = lots of static elements = burn in overtime. Just buy a cheap monitor to work on and use the OLED for gaming/entertainment only. Trust me, they’re worth it.
All these reviews about this monitor and no one seems to care and ignore about the KVM switch feature and how it performs and demonstrate how it works. Can someone point me to a reviewer that actually reviews the product and doesn't skip on the KVM?
Would you prefer this over the Alienware ? Also? 27 or 32? I’m use a 27” monitor so far, so I wonder if a 32 is too big for me. Also, do you get eyestrain for this? Is 4K easier to read text vs 27 inch?
im in the same boat but i think i will go with the 27 32 seems a little overboard for a monitor plus i have my 42 inch oled tv mounted on the wall so if i want a bigger screen it is available to me

When people talk about raised black levels of QD OLED's from lights, are they meaning spot lights or windows shining directly on the screen only, or any light source, like the light in the center of the room, also raising black levels. Asking since I am considering the MSI and don't play in a dark room, just had the room light on.
Question.. I have this monitor and i play MW3 as well. I find that HDR True Black 400 is brighter and more vibrant than HDR Peak 1000. Is this the same for you?
well the monitor is only certified for hdr vesa 400 that is why now if it said vesa certified for hdr 1000 then you would see a big difference so that peak hdr 1000 can only hit maybe 5-10% of the screen whereas the hdr 400 can cover the entire screen we really need oled monitors to be able to do full screen 800-1000 nits but I don't think we will see that until pholed releases by lg
You should be using HDMI 2.1. You won't get full 4K HDR10 (10-bit colour) up to 144Hz uncompressed without HDMI 2.1, and by using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable. HDMI 2.1 is 42.6 Gbps effective data rate while DP1.4 (HBR3) is 25.92 Gbps. Big difference.
at 4K you only focus on better GPU. To give you idea A cpu can achieve with the same gpu 300 FPS @ 1080p but B cpu achieve 400 FPS at the same resolution however 4K resolution and current gen of gpu in AAA games at max details can hit around 70-120 FPS. CPU role in this scenario is to help generating frames but GPU is too weak for 4K so 5800x3D will last a veeeeeeeeeryyyyyy looooooonnngggg timeeeeee. Easily 6090/7090 era as well. (unless there major breakthrough that CPU will bring something else to the table)
Doesn’t seem like that Dell monitor to the right is configured correctly, very difficult to believe there’s that much of a difference. I have the LG 27GR95QE-B and my Samsung G7 Faker Edition, looks every bit as good if not better in most games, it tends to be ultimately more colorful and detailed than the LG.
That chin is enough for me to pass on the MSI. I have the ASUS arriving in the next few days. I'm sure they're basically identical but I'm shallow AF about the design of my monitors.
I Went with the Alienware same panel since MSI didn't make enough of these for the demand also alien is currently 120$off love it .
Good to have choice 👍 glad you’re enjoying yours!
32 inch? I can’t decide between 32 or 27. I’ve used a 27 for so long
@@mjregan88 I’ve also used 27 before I got the dell 32 inch. The difference isn’t that big. I’d go for 4k 32. The PPI is amazing.
Can you plz tell me What is the model you’re talking about ?

My only wish is that it had a 27 & 24in mode for FPS. Otherwise, loving mine.
It should come with a firmware update

should I remove its (protective) film on the screen? 🙏
I would say yes :)
I mixed my power cords up on the actual power cord is it Sheng or Linetek?

Any light source that will hit the screen. Doesn’t have to be direct but it’s more visible when it’s direct.
Is it matt or glossy?
Glossy, it's great.
Is that a stuck or bright pixel when u show the raised blacks?

You aren’t getting 4K240 in most games with any CPU. But yes his setup is sufficient.
In 4K your performance is generally GPU limited.
Just wanted to confirm what everyone else said. It's 100% GPU bottleneck scenario :) the CPU could handle twice as many frames in MW2023.

I don’t mind the chin. At least they did put some effort and made it metal. The grey also looks nice with the blacks.
