@@mendelhalsband5579 Quite right! People who post videos on TH-cam seem to have misunderstood what sponsorships are, and how sponsorships differ from endorsements. Clearly, most TH-cam personalities are engaged in endorsement deals, not sponsorship deals. Given that endorsements have more strict requirements in most jurisdictions, I find it quite disappointing that they continue to disclose such arrangements as plain old sponsorships.
Maybe stop doing finance adds, a lot less chance to scam your audience

Don't think Trevon James ever got jail time for promoting Bitconnect, so I can't see Bitboy getting it, unless its for the stupid things he's done to the lawyers. Would be funny if he ends up in jail for that, not for promoting scams. Trevon James carried on promoting scams, I think he's still doing it now.
The sad thing is that BitBoy still has tons of followers who will continue listening to and supporting him, despite what he's done.

He's been melting down that harassment lawsuit so I went over to his current videos to see what he was saying and I was honestly totally blown away by the volume of commenters who were still enthusiastic fans of his. I keep underestimating the level of denial and cope within that community. One of his most recent videos was sponsored by Stake and the whole video is literally BitBoy aggressively pushing for people to gamble and comparing it to sound investing, it's pretty grotesque.
What did he do?
BitBoy has a selective memory.
He has thrown the most awful low life insults at people.
TBF, some of those are at SFB/Alameda/FTX ...
Also, clearly Bitboy is not the only one, though his reaction is probably one of the worst.
Meet Kevin and all the others, seem to have a bad streak.
It is a bit ironic, that the presenter here - is also promoting various 3rd parties - and changing his "ways".
There are many more YT influencers promoting various 3rd parties and financials. Many exchanges imploded, including FTX. FTX even had a super bowl ad and FTX, etc... paid off 3/4 of Congress.
The US FEDGOV is not doing anyone any favors. Strange times!

IDK, I never lost anything from Bitboy advice... though as with anything, I do my own research and I never go "all in".

To answer the question you posed about whether his going after the opposing lawyers could help his case, I see two possible ways. A) While focusing on the lawyers he isn't further incriminating himself per the subject matter of the case directly. While he's encouraging people to go review bomb he's not in that moment admitting to the things he's accused of. B) It could help show lack of malicious intent on his part. Because for him to not be maliciously participating in these scams he'd have to be really really really stupid. This behaviour helps show he is indeed really really really stupid.

I've noticed in Bitboy vids that he keeps looking away whenever he talks to the camera. This is a "tell" and shows hat he's telling lies and I'm glad he's being sued for his scams.
I like the new guidelines you are setting for yourself for your sponsorships. That sort of advertising (testimonial advertising) always sounds and seems far more authentic. And coming from someone like you who is trustworthy and transparent in your due diligence and your research and information and someone who has integrity to not shill some scam company (assuming it is possible to know it is a scam, can't fault you if someone manages to fool you, you aren't omniscient), it just rings even more true. And it helps show you aren't like these other frauds like BitBoy.
Keep doing the Lord's work, exposing these frauds and showing the truth to the world. You are awesome.
Except most of those sponsorships or endorsement deals already include the "testimonial" script of the ad. I'm sure you've heard raids shadow legends messages and many like them where the content creator says they're playing or come play with me, or this and that is my favorite character or I love doing this, etc. Like you can tell they're just reading off of a script. If you've ever watched the Darkhorse Podcast then you can literally see Heather and Bret reading the "testimonies" right off of the papers. They're super transparent about it and they at least vet the products of the sponsors that they use on their channel but still, the point is that just because it sounds like it's a testimony from the content creator, it doesn't mean that it's not just a script that the agency gave them to read off of for the segment... They do this on purpose PRECISELY because of what you just said: "That sort of advertising (testimonial advertising) always sounds and seems far more authentic." It's a deceptive practice and I'm surprised (well, not really) that it isn't illegal and nothing is being done about it.
@Ground Control right, but I feel like most people can tell when the "testimony" is full of shit and written as part of the ad copy. When you hear an ad spot from 5 different creators and the testimony part is basically identical with just like a username change or guild/clan name changed, it is obvious that the testimony isn't real.

Blows my mind how easily someone can trade their online reputation/following for basically "free" money so you're not one of the really dumb ones to get noticed. So many youtubers and such have cashed out in this way. Makes me wonder how much those general "Bitcoin review" type channels get in kickback, the ones that don't focus on one or two options.
I noticed some sensible ones got rich and just vanished. No trace of them on any social media. Some have unwisely left their content on social media, I can see more vanishing if Bitboy gets done.

There is no "crypto expert" in the sense of KNOWING any value of any crypto. It's just speculation. The ONLY crypto expert is in understanding how the tech works. But that is different to what the value is.
Well guess I will check out the sponsor this time around. I could use the help and a more honest feeling ad can be that catalyst. Hopefully the rest of the world can follow suit on letting creators be more open with their own thoughts over the cookie cutter drivel. Keep up the good work!

It's sad so many have to sell out. Some things aren't worth doing at any price IMO.
Harassing the lawyers is idiotic. Attorneys only get disbarred for serious, provable misconduct. If they ever depose him they'll try to completely eviscerate him in particular. People forget that attorneys are mere representatives sworn to act zealously. The client is the actual source of the ill will.
If a case ever falls apart like wet toilet paper it's because the opposition never had a case to begin with. If a solid legal team with a proper war chest, like the Feds, and with admissible evidence, ever came after BitBoy he'd be in real trouble.
Side note: I'm glad some TH-camrs, such as this channel, conduct due diligence on advertisers. It's also important to understand the concept of "negligent misrepresentation" as an additional means of avoiding bad actors and potential liability for unknowing association with possible fraudulent activity. Keep up the good work.

I heard about him and heard him on other pod casts and channels that I was listening to yet never found a good reason to follow his channel. I'm glad he somewhat admitted rug pulls during an interview with Bankless. Thank you for your elaborate coverage.

10:46 The most obvious red flag is when some one brags about a money making piece of "insider information" on a public/social media platform like TH-cam..Any money manager worth his/her/their money understands, imbibes, and personifies the principle of Generating Alpha.. The only way you generate any alpha when it comes to investments is by having a piece of info/knowledge that no one else(or probably few others) have pertaining to the asset from which you're looking to generate alpha.. And in such a case you don't blurt it out on social media.. You hold the card as close to your chest as possible.. Even when you share it with your clients/investors you do it the most secretive manner possible.. Not on a public/publicly accessible platform!!!

you know something I've realized even with an adblocker you still get ads... To make things worse this is from the people you enjoy watching I can't remember the last time I've had a creator made video without a sponser, that kinda sad that youtube forces it's creators to do sponsers which I know makes a lot of money but man is it annoying to hear about Gaurdio, Manscape, NordVPN, Masterwork which I ended up finding skeptical cause of the videos they were put into and some other product that could be useful but is tuned out cause we hear sponser after sponser after sponser. Again I know that these creators have to make money somehow from this form of a job but at some point you gotta tune it back a little and just make videos. I mean that what this platform was original made for to create stuff that you like and want to share with others. Plus there other forms of making money like patreon, paypal or some other way to give money to your creator personally because you enjoy what they do. Fuck now that I'm think about stuff I know this one youtuber who does anti-sponsers Fucking anti-sponsers! because of his patreon and how people give him money to do what he does. I love that a lot more then "you can get this piece shit for 8.99$ if you use my code "fuck me" oh to make that worse these are monthly products so your constantly wasting cash on them. I think I've seen more ads for VPNs then what you really need which is just to watch what the fuck you do on the internet and use a bit more skeptism then you'd usually use. I just wanted to rant about this and get it out of my system in some form still will enjoy the video and hope everyone who reads this has a nice day.
