      Hi Kristina, Thank you! I'm sorry you're dealing with that. MM is great and helped me a lot. I also found hugely beneficial doing emotional work. Often long term illness can be very traumatic and also precipitated by life experiences that may have contributed to the illness in the first place. Furthermore, we can have beliefs (often given to us by the medical profession) about our ability to heal and the path of the illness and working to address these beliefs is important. This helped me immensely and helped the other lifestyle changes like MM to work more effectively. That is why I trained to support people in the emotional side of healing and make TH-cam videos about it because it is often not considered and is so beneficial. Wishing you all the best in your healing journey. xxx

    Thank you for this... I started medical medium and got so overwhelmed that I did a ridiculous amount of research and stopped believing it for the most part and only do the heavy metal detox smoothie sort of every other day and eating clean while not consuming toxins. My family has been treating me like im actually insane by the way im eating and avoiding toxins they think arent real. I havent been able to work so im in constant stress getting a job and losing it x10 every 3weeks due to the immense fatigue, brain fog and panic attacks. I feel so lost. Thank you for sharing.

      Hi Cindy Lou, Absolutely 100%. They do very different things for us. Meditations are great for calming, but not so good for dealing with the unconscious, automatic perceptions of stress that someone who has seen their health breakdown is impacted by. I've worked with people who have learnt a lot of nervous system retraining techniques and they are certainly great, but they help you when you get stressed. But for me I want to not get stressed in the first place. With emotional work the effects are long term because we are making changes that impact our perceptions, our behaviours and how we feel we fit in the world. xxx

      Hi Tennesha! Thank you! Just to clarify I gave up grains for my digestion - not because of the fatigue. I am now eating grains again. Having healed from CFS and helped others to do the same I can't emphasise enough how important it is to address your emotions too. CFS is often the result of nervous system dysregulation - caused by suppressed or repressed emotions and stress. I've worked with quite a few women and men who are doing their diet perfectly, but not able to shift the fatigue. So if you're finding dietary changes are not having an impact, particularly if you've not found deficiencies like iron present (always worth getting that checked - quite common in women because of menstruation) then the next step could be diving deeper into your emotions. I have a lot of information on my channel about that. All the best for your recovery! ❤

    I eventually saw a medical medium as a last resort for my multisystemic condition couped with Chronic Lyme and very severe Fibro. The lovely lady I saw is extremely well known and respected (famous) so I was excited to try the approach given that Reiki has helped me previously. Oh dear...when she awakened me from the deepest sleep I've ever experienced I felt terrible, I could barely stand or balance, I couldn't remember where my car was parked nor where I lived. I did get home and for 9 months after my physical and mental health degenerated rapidly; I actually felt as if something very dark had got into me, I didn't understand this feeling but a Reiki lady said I probably hadn't been shut down properly following the Medium session. I spoke with the practitioner who offered me another session, I declined as I was terrified by now. I did eventually gain equibrium after the Reiki lady worked on me once.

      Hi! I've got a couple of videos which talk about how to approach MM, supplements etc. th-cam.com/video/96dPlDoZQ3g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WHMB6BwZNfC79slI and th-cam.com/video/07ByBmrXy5U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HyL1hhynpJl7ajIU and th-cam.com/video/n1dn5n2gbYw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ASsj9N_j06TOeuvP. What I've found from my own recovery and those of the people I've coached is that when one condition heals, so do a lot of others. I had reflux which came in my 30's and went - it was caused by stress. I've never had reflux since then. Clients I've had with digestive issues resolve them by focusing on their chronic stress. Because chronic long term stress is a huge component of digestive issues. I hope that helps. All the best in your recovery journey! ❤

There are people who have hours to live in many cases who are pulled away from the edge very quickly with gerson its very effective. But yes for longer term wigmore is better, its gentler and slower and allows the body to do it more naturally, but in many cases people need much more intesive detoxing. But yes good point. Hi Alonso! That's something I've been asked a lot. No I didn't because I never ate just fruit and I really eased into eating fruit when I started as my blood sugar was not stable at all. When I did start eating more fruit (after about 6 months on the protocol) I made sure I had it with a lot of greens. I also started MM tracking my calories so I knew exactly how much food I needed to get in. Blood sugar issues can come for example because of not enough calories, or from adrenal issues. Hi Romeo, thanks for your comment! My TMJ came on due to dental work, my bite got out of alignment and my jaw joint degenerated from eating on one side of my mouth for a year. I still have some symptoms (the Ehlers Dahnlos doesn't help), but nothing like they used to be - it was super debilitating. I know that MM says is neurological and that causes the grinding which then causes the muscle tension. But these things can help anyway because they help release the muscle tension - I manage my stress using EFT, I do yoga (apparently tension in the hips can affect the jaw - who knew that!!), I have occasional physio - but I do specific jaw and neck exercises every day and I avoid hard, super crunchy foods. The book which I found super helpful was "Taking Control of TMJ" by Robert O. Uppgaard. All the best for your healing!

    Hi Rachel. Can I ask if your teeth recovered following medical medium as a vegan? I have a similar story to you (although not as severe) and I am interested in the protocol but afraid of the impacts of the fruit on my teeth. I have a dentist appointment next week to find out if there is anything I can do about the loss of minerals but if there's a possibility they could heal naturally I'd take it! I'm not a vegan any more because I thought the loss of minerals could be due to the diet

    • @rachelAO

      Hi Amy, Sure. My teeth are great now. The reason I was getting so many cavities was gut related, nothing to do the with fruit. I had silent reflux and didn't realise it. So I followed the MM recommendations for reflux - thyme water, aloe water, papaya and sprouts - and also focused heavily on calcium rich greens - predominantly parsley, I juiced a lot of it every day and slowly my teeth started to remineralise. There is a great book out there by lady called Dr Judene Benoit - she's a holistic dentist. Reading that book was a game changer for me. My dentist was very happy with what I managed to do in 6 months. I haven't had a cavity for nearly 2 years now. I still drink celery leaves and parsley juice every day and eat a lot of leafy greens. When I had the reflux I would rinse with a bicarb and water mix after every meal. I don't do that now, I just rinse with water. But in Judene Benoit's book she talks about how the acids in our stomach cause cavities and that water might not be neutralising enough in some people, so that's why I did the bicarb rinses after each meal. I have been vegan for 6.5 years now. I hope that helps and wishing the best with it. ❤️❤️

I haven't been to the depths of illness that you have but I have struggled with adrenal fatigue for a few years and now slowly healing but still dealing with the other symptoms that come along side it. It's rough but certainly makes us more resilient. I have started doing celery and cucumber juices as per MM but I haven't tried adding parsley so I might give that one a go and I'll take a look at the book you recommended. I read Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nigel which recommended eating a lot of dairy but I found this was making me feel congested and unwell. I feel ur pain. Also had a fissure and still suffering from chronic constipation after taking antibiotics almost a year ago. I recently decided to start a whole food plant based diet to see if it helps because the high protein high fat diet really didnt do it for me. Any tips on how to stick to the diet?

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Fissures are the worst - you can't talk to anyone about them and nobody understands how painful and isolating it can be. Whole food plant based is the way to go for constipation. Keep it low fat. I've been doing crazy diets for a long time, so I found WFPB super easy because it was less restrictive than any of the others. Tips I'd give you - don't go hungry, eat enough - use Cronometer to track you're getting enough calories. Transition from your old diet into WFPB so it's not a huge shock to your system. People often quit because they're hungry. Find 3 - 4 recipes you like and batch prepare so you don't have to think about what to eat. I've got a load on this channel which are all WFPB. And for constipation foods like potatoes and papaya are awesome, aloe water is another one I like, and slowly dial up the fruits and veggies and dial down the grains and the beans. Good luck with it ❤️❤️

Slowly and gently is definitely the way to go with all these things. The foods do most of the work. Have you checked out th-cam.com/channels/wQzdqs4ueXGpTaWwz2PUSQ.html ? @@cheri7054 A big part of celery helping is the vitamins and the potasium and magnesium in it. Its not some magical stuff - it works coz of the nutrinets in it. So - it seems that your stomach lining is in a very bad shape. Maybe ulcers. Cuting on coffee, sugar, dairy and gluten usualy helps. And probably not eating raw vegies. If you want that cleansing effect of celery - epson salt works the same. And look into potasium rich food. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, cooked spinach, salt substitiues, coconut water.

    What do you think of iodine supplementation? I am confused as to why I cannot find Anthony reference it...yet. But I have other sources that have convinced me that iodine deficiency may truly be the "missing link." Your thoughts?

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my experience it was never just one nutrient that fixed my health issues. Anthony recommends adding seaweed into our diets (which are high in iodine) and I found just having the dulse in the Heavy Metal Detox smoothie was enough to get my iodine levels up. Everyone is different, so I'd always recommend getting some help with supplementation - particularly with minerals like iodine, as it can really affect some people adversely.

    Can you explain why you think the dental work had such a negative impact on your health? Mt teeth are also extremely bad with almost every tooth needing work.

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that you're having some problems with your teeth Timmy. The reason the dental work affected me was because my adrenals were so low that any stress knocked me for a 6. So I was sensitive to the anaesthetic and the actual procedures were pretty full-on - I had a bad root canal, a tooth extraction and an implant post put in just for one tooth and then loads of fillings. I have no problem with dental work now my energy has recovered - I had a wisdom tooth pulled the year my energy started to come back and I recovered quickly. Dental work is unavoidable unfortunately, even when you have chronic fatigue, so I found taking high doses of LipoC two weeks before the procedures, stopping a week before the procedure helpful. I also did EFT during the procedure to manage my stress and then as part of my recovery I took Lipo C for two weeks. It's important to not that you shouldn't take Vitamin C closer than 1 week before though because it messes with the anaesthetic - it's definitely important to check with your dentist in terms of timings etc, for supplements if you're looking to boost your immune system prior to work). I hope that helps.

    Thanks for sharing . Did he say anything could help with gas from greens and beans

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He does talk about it, I dealt with it by stopping beans until my digestion improved a lot because I'd heard in the MM community that if you have strep beans can be hard to digest until you're digestion is better. I've found that to be the case for me. I can eat lentils now with no issues. I find a lot of greens gassy, so I juice them - that's what he recommends if greens are too hard to digest. Hope that helps.

      Use dried and soak in water with 1/2 tsp baking soda for min 1 hour. When you cook add some kombu. Start with small amounts of beans to allow your microbiome to change. Search ‘easiest beans and legumes to digest’ incl red split lentils and split yellow peas. Best x.
