You do know that it's easier to perfect block using jumping buffer right? And safer as well. Since you have I-frame when you jump, you can use jumping to make sure to avoid damage then block immediately after. It makes royal blocking timing much easier. That being said, I have no doubt Donguri could just stand block as well.
Jump guarding is actually really good and if you want to use royal guard I suggest jump/roll guarding into attacks. I think Donguri displays more impressive usage of royal guard just by standing there since there is more risk in stand guarding
Its the same as Royal Fork personally I'm not a V player but it was simple enough to learn how to always get it its even easier to do then Back to Forward Inputs when the Camera isn't behind the Player since the 360* can start at any point on the Analog Stick but as long as it ends up back where it started and you press the Trick button you'll always get it. Now learning how to cancel World of V with a JC that is true skill.

I think I finally figured out what my issue was fighting Dante now, I noticed some of donguri's combos looked completely spot on but just... failed randomly during the Dante fight. I'm not sure what it is about the fight but Dante felt super inconsistent to me and I see it even affected players who are waaaay better than I am so clearly I wasn't imagining things.

If he was never getting hit in Normal or easy difficulty then it wouldn't be impressive, but the damage the bosses are taking is too low to be anything else than DMD

I noticed that Cerberus’s arena is meant to amplify the powers of King Cerberus himself. You have water and wires on the floor. (Obviously meant to conduct electricity, and freeze easily) As with fire, It’s a hard arena reset.

There is an attack that cannot be parried by stand guard (only by jump guard): Judgment Cut End.
