It seems to have more to do with gain and volume levels than anything in the ASMRtist's performance being different from a "regular" ASMR video. Any "regular" whisper video could be made "barely audible" by the viewer turning the volume way, way low. And that's actually what I usually do when I find myself relaxed and moments away from falling asleep. I turn it the volume so low that I can barely make out any of the words. 💤
