I don’t know if it was made up by them or TLC, but what they put the kids through was cruel!! Coincidentally Sobyn’s family lived in Vegas?? Then her oldest son was going to the university in Flagstaff, the same time they moved. I can’t find the screenshot, but his attorney said there was no investigation in I believe a local paper.
Have you heard of Dr. Honda? His channel is Psychology in Seattle. He said he may be interviewing someone with knowledge of FLDS and right away I thought of you. What a collab that would be.

Ice blocking is definitely not just a Mormon thing. I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian church and we went ice walking every winter with the youth group.
We went in the spring and summer, but it was everyone. Did it with church, scouts, friends, family parties. We had sand dunes close by and ice blocking is fun!

What does this mean for Kody now that he's not practicing polygamy? Did he do his time so he's in?
I sympathize with your experiences and I relate in many ways. I only have an issue with you saying that love can’t be multiplied, it can only be divided when you have too many kids and/or wives. It’s actually the attention and (if it’s there) affection that is divided. Love can definitely be multiplied. When you’re expecting your 2nd child, it’s really hard to get how you could love anything as much as your first. Then when you make that connection with your newest addition, the love in you expands, grows, I.e., multiplies. The shows catch phrase is hog wash. It should be “Lust is to be multiplied and then divided”, unevenly of course 😉
The feeling of love within you can be multiplied, but children perceive love in terms of time and attention. I’m sorry, but if they don’t get love communicated to them through that, it doesn’t matter what you feel. You can give a few kids that kind of time, but not in the numbers that the Browns tried to, and in their circumstances.
