At 14:00 you are right, siege uses a middleware called Wwise for sound and in Wwise there are optimization settings like capping the number of active voices. So either the sound team doesn't have a big enough memory budget to make it bigger or maybe last gen consoles are holding it back I dunno
The only time I successfully rush with ram is through top green window on kanal. Andy other map no matter where I make entry I’m dead before I make the threshold of the doorframe

I figured by now its a tech problem not a engine prob. like yeah its an engine prob but most games have the same problem, im not sure if UE5 has better sound but for most games using UE4 they cant make that many sounds a "priority". so in siege it looks like they prioritized something like footsteps rather than a C4, idk whats worse to not hear. certain games like apex and siege where they have sounds for, not only gunshots, but also legend abilities and all the weird things in between, games just cant do sound like they used to. we have accepted this for many years lol now that im thinking of it, UE5 has got to be better at audio, pleeease. 🙏
