Been waiting months all because of something so simple. Literally took ten seconds to verify then I got the CONGRATS notice. I think this is so messed up because ppl truly don’t have a clue. Instead of broadcasting the Russian war and Covid-19 cases all day they could atleast mention this to help the ppl out

I filled on march 9th. Got a letter on march 31st. I went on online and verified my info. It then said this Congratulations! You have successfully completed the Identity Verification process. We now have the necessary information to continue processing your return. So hopefully it updates this week.
My CPA e-filed my taxes on 04/07/22. As of today, 07/20/22, I haven't received my refund or Any correspondence from the IRS. The (Where's my refund) search on their site says: We cannot provide Any information about your refund and it is impossible to talk to anyone on the phone about it. How did you contact them? By phone or by email? I have found 100% ZERO ways to contact the IRS!!!!

I know exactly how you're feeling. I checked the IRS Refund Tool daily at 7am everyday, since it only updates once a day. If you verified your identity 6 days ago. I would give it 8 more days. It took me a full 2 weeks for it to go from still being processed to finally being processed. Then a couple of days after that it said that my return was approved and also gave me a date when my refund would be sent. Good luck, hopefully your refund will show up soon.

@@dorraefrazier8632 Getting our refund is definitely serious business. 😄 I didn't receive a letter to confirm they confirmed my identity. I wish they would have. I was so down when the site said, thank you for identifying and that it would take 9 more weeks. I was quick to go on google to see if others had to wait another 2 and a half months. Luckily, it appeared to take an average of 2-3 more weeks to receive their refund after confirming their identity.

They called back within 40 minutes and apparently I didn't completely verify! There was a few more steps that I needed to take before it was completed! I verified through video call and the lady told me I was all set but I really wasn't! I completed the verification last Friday and this morning I checked and it went from still being processed to your tax return is being processed! So y'all may need to call to see if you were completely verified! Just keep dialing back to back to back until it answers! Hope this helps y'all!
My idverify didn't get the go ahead so I got a letter asking to call a number. Whenever I call I get an automated message telling me to call another day due to heavy call volume.

I called back to back to back and it said too many callers but after the tenth time of trying I was finally able to get through to have them call me back and I left my number and they called back within 40 minutes and this lady told me I had not completed my verification that there was a few more steps to complete so I did that with her and she said I was all set! I did all of this last Friday and I woke up this morning to see I went from still being processed to now being processed and a refund date will be provided shortly!! I am glad I decided to call again because I would have never known that my verification was not complete! Keep trying to call you will eventually get through!!

I checked "where's my refund" every week I received nothing. I called irs no one answers. I finally called my senstors office in D.C. I left my name and number next day I received a call from the senators office. I gave the assistant my information and he is going to contact the IRS in my state and someone will get back with me in the next few days.

yes, that's exactly correct. They'll ask for a photo of the front and the back of your ID. Then they'll do a face scan. After that, you'll get a confirmation that your identity has been approved. Once that occurs, you should get your refund in the next 2-3 weeks.

I mailed in my tax return around 21 March 2022, as of today 23 July 2022, I have not received or heard anything from the IRS, I check on their web site for my refund, and always got the message that they have no information about my return, what do I need to do?
I hope I did it correctly in ID Verify but what does IRS mean, "Did you file your 2021 Tax Return?" I understand that IRS was asking for 1099 or W2 of 2021 to be filed this 2022, please correct me if I am wrong? Or was IRS asking for 1099 or W2 of 2020 to be filed of 2021? How I wish there is a phone consultation? I did not receive any confirmation, meaning that there could be a mistake?
What if after 5 months it states no record, but you sent it certified Mail and they did receive it, what do you do then???

I filed on February 3rd and recieved the ID verify after I verified I waited 9 weeks with no change. It took 2 more weeks of trying to get through to find out that I had to call the IRS special number to verify by phone. That was 3 weeks ago. My taxes are still processing.

Mine says apologize for the error bla bla bla. I can not reach any human. The cheat number to dial in to directly speak to someone is now changed and I can’t call and dial in. I filed in February on the 8th, called in April on the 15th. They claimed that I would now be getting it in June and tried blaming it on my professional who filed my taxes. It has been 4 months since my paper tax was signed for in Austin Tx IRS. I had it sent USMail with signature requested when they received it April 11, 2022. I started looking for my refund at IRS.Gov. Every time it states something like we have no record. Mine was already processed into my bank and my bank says that they never received it so it's been processed into my bank my bank said they never fail on any money that comes in the IRS somewhere down the road down the line there are doing their wrong mistakes because my check is not in my bank and it says that it's in my bank already

We are not going to fix it the IRS has to fix that they need to get up and start doing their work instead of sitting around hire more people get people to work and pay them good money to do all that paperwork but the IRS does not want to pay

hi, I accidentally put that I didn't receive my 3rd stimulus so The IRS took my refund away based on that , there is any way that I can correct it in the system and get my refund
You'll have to amend your taxes possibly. I would contact the IRS and see if they have a better solution.

I filled my taxes on January 27th, and I only received the State refund but not the Federal. When I go the the website, it doesn't tell me if it is been process at all. And when I call I haven't been able to reach anyone at the IRS. It has been more than 5 months and I have no idea when I will received my refund. Any ideas of what can I do?

Whenever I go to verify my account on the Identity and Tax Return Verification Service website and click on verify your identity and tax return it says that, "We are not able to provide assistance to you via the identity verification tool.". I haven't processed anything yet and I verified my identity. I'm a new user to the IRS so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if I should just call the number they gave me on my 5017C letter.

@@soadmuthana3789 it turns out someone I didnt authoraize to use my info tried to make a tax return and I was a victim of ID theft. If you got a letter from the IRS asking if you've done a tax return but you havent then call them back

Stimulus check don't have nothing to do with a refund on our taxes we work hard through all the year for them to hold our taxes so they can use our money to pass out stimulus is that what you're trying to say I don't think it's fair IRS needs to get together they need to get everything straightened out and soon cuz people works hard

I had set last Friday aside to try and call the IRS cuz I knew how it was gonna be! It kept saying too many callers and hang up! Every time it hung up I would try again right away and this went on for like ten tries and I was finally able to get through to where I put in my number to have them call me back instead of waiting and within 40 minutes they called me back! Apparently I had no completed the verification process, which a month ago the last lady said I was good to go! This lady took me through a few more steps and said I was good to go! This was last Friday and I woke up this morning, six days later, to seeing WMR go from still being processed to being processed a refund date will be available soon

yes, that's exactly correct. They'll ask for a photo of the front and the back of your ID. Then they'll do a face scan. After that, you'll get a confirmation that your identity has been approved. Once that occurs, you should get your refund in the next 2-3 weeks.

The IRS might be running behind, I would call the 1-800 number for the IRS and ask them what might be causing the delay.
