  • Do I seriously think that Sansa will sit the iron throne? No. Do I think that she is the younger and more beautiful queen from the prophecy? Maybe. Do I think that she is a formidable player? Hell yes.

    What I love most about the prophecy and all that is that [and I'm going off my assumption that Sansa is the younger, more beautiful queen] is that CERSEI DID THIS TO HERSELF. She was worried about Maergery, now she is worried about Dany, but she has no idea that Sansa - this girl who learned so much from her, is going to be the one to steal it all away from her. And she has no idea, because she always underestimated Sansa. She had no idea that she was listening, watching, paying more attention than anyone else.

      no, cersei is worried about both,dany is no threat to cersei, once dany shows how really mad she is, everyone will turn on her, cersei knew all along, margery would take both her boys away from her,
      but it was sansa who almost killed joffrey first, but hound stop her to save her life,
      but before the purple wedding, sansa told lady olenna the truth, nad littlefinger nad olenna killed joffrey and framed sansa for the crime by putting th poison in her necklace,
      margarey moved on to cersei second son, after margarey death, tommen kill himself
      so cersei mistakes and choices led to the death of all her children
      but also robert was womanizer brut and joffrey inbred psycho,
      but myrcella nad tommen were good kids, it sad that they died,
      myrecella killed by snakes over oberyn death with gregor,
      and tommen killed himself over margaery,
      and tyrion kill shae and his father,
      and tywin order the deaths of rhaegar wife and two children, after he ran off with lyanna,
      tywin order the death of sansa mother and eldest brother who she was closest too, with help from freys and boltons,
      and sansa and arya avenged her families deaths with joffrey nad arya took care of freys, and sansa took care of boltons,
      everyone is more complex and everyone are monsters and heroes

    And I think Cersei always had a feeling that it would be Sansa. She kept on remarking how beautiful Sansa was. Forshadowing perhaps.

      I also think that both Margaery and Daenerys are red herrings. I think Margaery is the one who Cersei thinks is the younger, more beautiful queen and Daenerys is the one who the audience thinks is the YMBQ, and then Sansa just comes out of nowhere and takes it all.

  • @MissSidneyDR

    I think Sansa would be perfect for the throne. She has come all this way and hold on through all that torture and found strength in it. She no longer fears death. When you no longer fear death, that is when you become the strongest you will ever be. She stayed what she always was, a Stark. A real ruler does not seek war but is always prepared for it, she will take care of her people, that fits Sansa.

    THIS is the Game of Thrones spinoff I want to see. Sansa Stark, Queen of the North or the Seven Kingdoms. She may be the one to sit on the throne when it's all said and done as part of that bittersweet ending we've been promised. Either way, she's risen to power and is one of the strongest characters left in the game.

  • @ds0786
    @ds0786 7 ปีที่แล้ว +100

    Hell Yeah Sansa will sit on the throne now whether it's the Iron throne if it doesn't get destroyed or the remaining throne in Winterfell remains to be seen but she will ABSOLUTELY be Queen just like the prophecy states. Sansa is the ultimate underdog in this series TPTB have been building her character up for this by having her being Littlefinger's protege she's learned a lot from him, her past experiences with Cersei, and the horrendous ride she been through in her life since the moment Ned's fateful decision to become hand to King Robert. She's wiser and no longer the naive girl she was in the beginning, she has a dead look in her eyes now, she's a player that's being groomed to be a Queen.

  • @idontwantahandle22
    @idontwantahandle22 5 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    I love this prediction so much b/c GOT fans criticize Sansa so much for “not doing anything” and “keeping her head down." In reality, that’s the ONLY way that any enemy has been able to survive Cercei. For instance, Margery showed how politically aware she was...and she died for being a VISIBLE threat to Cercei.

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Exactly! Sansa is playing the game and she is winning because people underestimate her. It's the way Baelish taught her to play it. No one suspected him because they underestimated him - he was a no one from a poor, minor house who owed his whole existence to other people. What harm could he do? Sansa is overlooked for being a feminine, pretty young woman. They think that she must be the same as she was when she was a child, naive and easily used but she is far more intelligent than she lets on. She has come so far, probably a lot further than most characters, but people still accuse her of 'not doing anything'. It's ludicrous. Who won the battle of the bastards? Who brought down Littlefinger? Who brought down Ramsay? Who survive being held hostage, being beaten, humiliated, tormented, raped, tortured and cut? And not only did she survive but she is still kind and loving. She is the only ruler that is thinking of the common people, gathering enough food to feed the north and trying to ready them for the wars to come while Cersei and Daenerys burn food/people/the land.
      Sansa doesn't seem like a threat but she really holds enormous power both personally and politically. By all rights, the north is hers and she has family ties to two other kingdoms (including the Vale who are militarily one of the strongest regions atm). She has shown she can get people to work together and sway people to her side without threats or violence. She isn't just some stupid little girl dreaming of a happy ending, she is a queen who is fighting for her people's survival. It doesn't get anymore badass than that.
      (sorry for the rant but defending Sansa is in my DNA)

  • @aeolianmelodies8785
    @aeolianmelodies8785 7 ปีที่แล้ว +180

    This was extremely well done. I loved the intro, and her "And if I want you to die, here and now?" quote over the bed scene with Ramsay was simply chilling. I liked that you used Jorah and Varys' quotes on Dany to make them look like they were about Sansa - I had never realized the many similarities between them - ancient royal blood (the Starks were true kings), female and sole apparent heir of their blood lines, having to fight to win back their home, the evolution from shy/innocent to true confident queens, both having their bullies (Joffrey for Sansa, Viserys for Dany) whom they both ultimately saw die, etc - even both had to marry against their will, twice (though granted it ended better for Dany).
    I believe - I have always believe - Sansa is the destined younger, more beautiful queen, as opposed to Dany (which would have been too obvious, IMO), or Margaery (who's obviously out). Her beauty is pointed out a lot more often than Dany's, she has a LOT of history with Cersei (and Dany has none, other than "your father let his soldiers kill my brother's wife and children!"). The queen from the prophecy does not need to be queen of the seven kingdoms - she could be queen in the North, for instance. There is a lot of foreshadowing of Sansa being queen - her speaking to her mother about marrying Joffrey and "being queen someday", her pledging to Cersei that she'll be a good wife to Joffrey, going as far as to say "I'll be a queen, just like you!". That line always makes me think Cersei must've heard the witch whisper the words again in her mind: "Then comes another... younger, more beautiful...".
    I even think Cersei originally perceived Sansa as the queen from the the prophecy. We can never know for sure, because of the lack of POV chapters for Cersei back then, but that may explain why she was so unnecessary cruel to Sansa from the beginning (having Lady killed by proxy, for instance, was out of line for Cersei at the time - most of her violent/cruel acts come from desperation, and as Robert's queen she was safe and in power, therefore she was pretty tame).

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Thank you for your very awesome and detailed comment!
      I agree there is a lot of comparisons between Dany/Sansa. I love the comparisons you drew!
      I also agree that Sansa should be the younger and more beautiful queen - the other too were to obvious and I agree with the reasons you outlined. Obviously Margaery's gone and Dany has no relationship with Cersei and never will, they will probably only ever see each other from afar. Sansa actually has history with Cersei, she was abused and hurt by a woman she wanted to be. She has learnt from Cersei though and will not make the same mistakes as her.
      The only part I disagree with is that Cersei believed that the queen was Sansa. I think that she 100% thought that it was Margaery and now she will think it is Dany. I think she underestimated Sansa and probably still will until the moment Sansa casts her down. She always thought of Sansa as stupid, naive, weak and only a threat through her name (e.g. she could marry one of the Tyrells and they could claim Winterfell in her name and thus become a powerful woman). Margaery was a more obvious choice because she was political savvy and she was more ambitious than Sansa. Sansa wanted to be queen because she wanted people to love her - Joffrey, the common people and even Cersei. Margaery wanted to be queen because she wanted power (in the show at least). Now that she is gone, Cersei will look to the very obviously powerful, strong and beautiful Daenerys. She is way more obvious than Sansa. She has a massive army, dragons, advisers, support from two kingdoms and half of the iron islanders.The biggest indicator of all to Cersei that the prophecy queen is Dany, is that she actually WANTS the Iron Throne. Sansa doesn't actually want the Iron Throne, she just wants home and peace. HOWEVER, I think that is where her power lies. All she wants is home and peace but Cersei will never let her have that. She still thinks she is responsible for Joffrey's death (along with Tyrion) and hated her before that anyway. Sansa must destroy Cersei if she ever wants to have a peaceful life at Winterfell. Cersei is obviously not very smart so she won't put anything together, she will probably point at every other woman before Sansa bc she doesn't even want to believe it really. She can't believe that this timid little girl that she abused and bullied could rise up and ruin her.
      Like you said, we will probably never know who she actually thought it was (maybe in future chapters she might think about it or discuss it with someone, you never know). Again, thanks for your comment! :D

    • @aeolianmelodies8785
      @aeolianmelodies8785 7 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Oh, I'm pretty sure once Margaery showed up, Cersei immediately perceived her as the queen from the dreaded prophecy, for the reasons you described (and also as soon as Margaery Tyrell showed up, Sansa was cast aside so in Cersei's mind, she was no longer a threat because she was no longer going to be queen). During the 1st and 2nd book/season, at some points Cersei's behavior kind of hints it... namely, her face when Sansa said "I'll be a good wife to him, I'll be a queen, just like you - you'll see!" right after Ned's death... while Sansa wants nothing with the iron throne (not anymore), she can still be Cersei's downfall.
      There are even theories of her + Jon falling in love eventually, and somehow bringing peace together... not sure if I buy into that, but thematically, it could mean that the war could end for the very same reason it started (a Targaryen prince's love for a Stark young woman).

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      I have no doubt that Sansa will be at least a part of Cersei's downfall, if not the main player in it!
      & personally, I do ship Sansa/Jon (You can probably see that from my channel content) but I see it differently to a Targaryen/Stark ending. I don't and will never see Jon as a Targaryen. He is culturally and nominally northern, raised by Ned Stark not Rhaegar. He has nothing to do with the culture or traditions of the Valyrians or even just the Targaryen family. The way I see it, Sansa and Jon are more of a second wave of Ned and Catelyn Stark. I think that this ending fits the story better as so many of the components are the same and it would allow Jon and Sansa to do what they have always dreamed of. Sansa wants to be a queen (she would be queen in the North), to marry a brave, handsome and honourable man (who fits that better than Jon?) and she dreamt of rebuilding her family when she thought she was going to marry Willas Tyrell, she wanted to name her northern looking sons after her father and dead brothers and have a daughter who looked like Arya (she and Jon would have children who would look like their dead siblings, her Tully features and his Stark features is the same mix Ned/Cat had). Jon always wanted to be a Stark and not just that, he wanted to be Lord of Winterfell. He has a complicated with red heads and like Sansa, he wants to be loved. (Also, the Petyr Baelish component in very similar to Cat's past etc.) I have no idea how it is going to end but I would much prefer this sort of ending (similar to yours but different in its thematic nature)
      Thanks for the comment!

      yes, people forget Cersei starts off as just a disloyal wife and queen with a secret, she goes off the rails and bad during the show but she doesn't start off there at all, she's decorative and barely a political player, just a wife against her will with a secret lover, capable but unhatched

    This is my favourite video of all times.
    This version of the story is absolute perfection: not too obvious, but everything matches perfectly. She is really kind and she is really from Westeros, unlike Dany. She has been tortured by Cersei, she had her dire wolf killed by cersei and when Cersei said a queen should be feared, she thought: if I ever were a queen, I'll be loved. And she wanted to be queen in the beginning...
    May the old gods be inspired by your video! Can't watch it enough.

    Sansa’s story is very similar to Elizabeth I. Think about it. One of her parents was beheaded. She was considered a traitor at court. Sansa’s look of long red hair matches the look of Elizabeth I. She has proven herself very adapt at ruling and can easily get men to fight in her name. I think when all is said and done Sansa will end up on the Iron Throne. Like Elizabeth I I don’t think she will ever marry, but if Jon and Dany do indeed die, she will raise their child as her heir.

    Fascinating! I never thought of Sansa as the queen from the prophesy, but she could be! I'd pay to see a Sansa-Cersei match-up... more than a Cleganebowl. But I fear Jon and their patriarchical culture (see Lyanna Mormont's disparaging of Sansa) won't let Sansa claim the crown in the North, and she understandably won't betray him to seize it. Spoiler ahead: As of season 7 episode 1 Jon seems content to be King and is in no way going to defer to her. Maybe she can fake-marry Littlefinger to gain the Vale or the Iron Throne and then knock LF off.

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't necessarily think she will be queen but I thought it would be a good subversion of the norm to see Sansa as the prophecy queen instead of Dany. Jon is pretty set as king (as of S7EP1) but there are many ways Sansa could become a 'queen'. Become Queen in the North (Jon could die or go back to The Wall), Marry Jon and become Queen in the North, Jon becomes King of Westeros and marries Sansa, Tyrion sits on the Iron throne and Sansa (as his wife) is technically Queen. None of them are really likely to be happen but it's fun to imagine!

    In a perfect world, once they discover that they're not actually brother & sister Jon & Sansa would begin to slowly but surely develop true feelings for one another as Jon grows closer to Sansa & starts to drift away from Danearys whose own feelings for Jon start to turn into resentment & paranoia as soon as she finds out that as Rheagar's legitimate-born son, Jon is the true & rightful heir to The Iron Throne thus completely rendering her (Danearys) own royal claim as null & void even though Jon has zero interest in becoming King of all Westeros.
    After Jon finally achieves his destiny as Azor Ahai & defeats The Night King than leads the campaign to ultimately overthrow Cersei, Danearys would betray Jon in order to remove him from her path towards The Iron Throne but decides to imprison him rather than have him killed in order to force The North to bend to her will by threatening to execute him if The Northern Lords don't comply. However with Arya & Bran & Theon's help as well as that of Tyrion who defects from Danearys to House Stark, Sansa defiantly gathers House Stark's allies & friends to mount a rescue mission to save Jon who upon being freed rides Rheagal into an all new Dance of Dragons battle against Mad Queen Danearys & Drogon with Jon finally emerging victorious & reunited with Sansa as they finally realize that they want to be together forever.
    Rather than claim his rightful inheritance as supreme ruler, Jon has Rheagal destroy The Iron Throne bringing the story full circle as The Iron Throne itself was created by Jon's ancestor: Aegon The Conqueror & his own dragon: Balereon. Jon dissolves the monarchy & instead reimagines King's Landing as a gathering place for the rulers of each of The 7 Kingdoms as well as representatives of other peoples living in Westeros such as The Free Folk to all come together to govern Westeros jointly as equals kinda like a form of senate.
    Finally, Jon & Sansa and their companions return home to Winterfell where Jon & Sansa are finally married and rule together as King & Queen in The North and Lord & Lady of Winterfell as the spirits of Ned, Catelyn, Rheagar, Lyanna, Maester Aemon, Robb with Talisa & Rickon along with the fallen Direwolves: Lady, Summer, Grey Wind & Shaggydog all look on with pride :)
    Ahhhhh, only in a perfect world would such an ideal scenario be realized indeed :(

      This is wayyyyy to perfect! I'd love this ending but I think that it needs more bitterness to fit George's bittersweet ending. Still an amazing theory tho!

      @@atimeforwolves You're right, there should be some bitterness in the ending to fit Martin's planned bittersweet ending.
      I guess Winterfell is ultimately destroyed by The Night King & his undead horde ala the scourging of The Shire from Tolkien's The Lord of The Rings books.
      Tyrion, Jorah & Missendei left devastated by Danearys betraying everyone as she tragically follows in her infamous father's footsteps in becoming The Mad Queen, her unquenchable lust for power & obsession to rule all Westeros corrupting her beyond redemption with Jorah trying in vain to reach out to Danearys after imprisoning Jon & sending out her armies to attack her allies only for Mad Queen Danearys to banish him as well as Tyrion & Missendei from her sight and Jorah in the final battle between Jon & Danearys sacrifices himself to help out Jon & Rheagal against Danearys & Drogon by using Qyburn's ballista to wound Drogon who then fatally burns Jorah but lives long enough for him to be reconciled at last with Lady Lyanna Mormont & the rest of their family and Jon officially pardoning him for his past crime thus restoring both his honor & knighthood to him so that he may die with honor.
      Jamie forced to accept that Cersei is irredeemably evil and intends to finish what The Mad King started long ago and with a broken heart has no choice but to become The Queenslayer in order to save everyone in King's Landing once again.
      Despite the heartbreaking loss of their ancestral home, all 4 remaining Starks along with their adopted brother: Theon recognize that despite the destruction of the castle that the very spirit of Winterfell can never & will never die and thanks to Sam who managed to retrieve & save Bran The Builder's original building plans for Winterfell from the castle archives before The Night King's arrival, The Starks vow to rebuild Winterfell reminding themselves that there must always be a Stark at Winterfell.

    Take Cersei down Queen Sansa !

  • @Mia-zx7nn
    @Mia-zx7nn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I’ve been thinking about it and I hope early do think that Sansa is the one in the prophecy. Will she be queen? I highly highly doubt it, but I do think that she’ll be the one to bring Cersei down.
    Dany is just too obvious a choice. Dany’s entire story arc makes her the focus of almost every prophecy in the entire series and we all know that GoT is too unpredictable to hand Dany the throne/glory on a silver plate the way that season 6-7 made it appear. Now that Margaery is dead the only 2 powerful women remaining that fit the ‘queenly stereotype’ which are Sansa and Danaerys (although I’m not saying that Arya/Brienne/Lyanna/etc aren’t strong women, I just don’t think that with their character arcs it would any sense for them to be the ones from the prophecy).
    It’s clear that the prophecy is going to be a core aspect of the last season because otherwise it wouldn’t have been the literal opening scene in season 5, and things have just been going so well for Danaerys from a militaristic standpoint that I honestly don’t think that the final season will see her gain as much success as previously. For me that leaves Sansa as the main candidate for the prophecy currently, especially since Cersei has underestimated her since the very first episode.

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Totally agree with this! I think Sansa has a slim, outside chance of being queen but really I would just be happy with her defeating Cersei, surviving the white walkers, and getting to live out her days in her home as the queen in the north. I don't think she wants the iron throne so I think being queen in the north is perfect for her.

She learned from the Lanasters,she learned from littlefinger, Ramsey, the hound, why didnt they put that to good use??? What a waste! It would be been fantastic.

  • @spirittammyk
    @spirittammyk 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I do think it will be Sansa in the prophecy. Danerys is going to get pregnant by Jon, and will be ill fit to ride a Dragon into battle, so I do think Sansa will become the real queen Westeros has always needed. She already has Arya who is possibly the most lethal assassin The North has ever seen, as her beloved sister and protector. She has the love and respect of The Hound, who is the only man in Westoros that can go toe to toe with The Mountain. She has the love and respect of Tyrion and Brienne, and both of them have the love and respect of Jaime, and I can totally see them talk Jaime into bending the knee to Sansa and following her to take back King's Landing from Cersei once and for all. The key is, the most important thing to Jaime has been power and Jaime, and she's going to lose both because the people will prefer to stand for Sansa instead of her.

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're welcome & thank you so much! I agree, Dany is way too obvious and with the history between Cersei and Sansa, I think that it would be much grittier and real. They have a rivalry and hatred that is wayyyyy deeper than just 'I want the throne' (Cersei is the reason that Ned is dead, her family are the reason that Cat and Robb died, she emotionally and psychologically abused Sansa and let her son physically abuse her. Also, Cersei still thinks that Sansa helped Tyrion kill Joffrey) so seeing those two go at it would be epic! I hope so too, it would be so cool to see :D

    Really Sansa was the girl in the prophecy. Sansa is a very spoilt brat and wasn't even queen in the 7 kingdoms. She definitely didn't cast her down and take anything she holds dear. She wasn't more powerful than her. Danayres was the girl in the prophecy. Ahe destroyed her beloved city cast her down and took the damm iron throne. Yes she died but like tywin said wearing a crown doesn't give you power. Even whit her crown and being queen. She was destroyed. The only reason sansa was queen was because there was no one else to give. Jon was given king but then he was exiled if he wasn't exiled or if there was another stark she wouldn't be queen

      The one where she says she would be queen some day and it's the only thing she's ever wanted? If you mean that one then it's from a scene in season one just before the feast at Winterfell when she is talking to her mother (Catelyn Stark) about marrying Joffrey.

      Dany is too obvious. The ending will be bittersweet. Bitter because Jon and Dany will die in the war of the dawn. Sweet because Sansa will take the throne and make Jon and Dany’s child her heir. She will not marry, but she will rule.

    • @spirittammyk
      @spirittammyk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      She could still marry. Tyrion is still around. In the books, Sandor and her always had some sort of a connection, and once the Mountain is gone, Sandor will gain lordship of the Clegane lands, so he's another good match to her. There is also the possibility of Gendry, but I see him settling down with Arya and they become the lords of the North, while Sansa stays in King's Landing to be the lord of Westoros.
