Very nice complete little tool kit. Here's my experience. I looked at the exact kit at my local Harley dealer. It was $79.95. The wrenches were super cheap knockoffs. They are one dollar wrenches from any discount store and are the same quality. The rest of the Torx bits, hex keys and the multi screw driver are sub quality discount store cheapo's. I could go to Harbor Freight and assemble this same kit for about $15.
Cool kits Lenny... what size socket do I need for three front and back wheel axle on my iron 883?.. and do I have to have it on a lift to tighten them? Or can i just have the bike on its kick stand?... thanks a bunch Lenny... by the way.. your review on the iron is the reason I went with one..😎
Were these out 15 years ago? I remember when i first started riding I did a 2hr cruise & the shifter fell off, I had to stop at a neighborhood Walmart in the middle of nowhere to get hex keys lol
I just picked up a 2015 Harley Street 750. Couldn't get any feedback from the dealer guys on HD tool kits, and was wondering if the Harley kit here would be a good match. Much appreciated.
Yes, the Harley Kit would give you the most often used tools for your Street 750. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/product/cruztools-rth3-roadtech-harley-davidson-tool-kit
Lemmy you put out very informative videos. Thanks a lot for the videos man. What tool kit would you recommend for a 2016 Nighy rod special? I saw a tool kit from bikers choice on the internet. That kit seems to have pretty much the same stuff as Cruztools but at a cheaper price.
The Metric Kit is a good starting point, but you would need to supplement the kit with a JIS screwdriver as well as other items from the stock tool kit that came with the bike. -DrewZilla
aight guys: Cruz Tools Speedkit (Japanese) vs Oxford Underseat Tool Kit? oxford one seems to only carry metric (great for me and my bike). I want to keep the tools at home...at home (they tend to go MIA once it leaves the garage), and have as much in a kit as possible while maintaining relative small shape.
If you have the space, I recommend the RTM3 Metric Tool Kit. If you want to keep it on the bike, consider the Euro-type Speedkit Tool Kit. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cruztools-rtm3-roadtech-metric-tool-kit *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cruztools-speedkit-tool-kits
If you have a repair manual for your bike, I recommend taking a look through it and assessing which repairs you'd be comfortable performing on the side of the road before resorting to calling for a tow. The best tool kit for your bike is the one that allows you to tackle all those jobs. I've seen friends ride around for years with tools they couldn't identify if they tried. That all being said, I think the RTM3 from CruzTools is likely the closest 'off-the-rack' solution for you. -TeamZilla Chris *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cruztools-rtm3-roadtech-metric-tool-kit
Yes, what could be handier that a 9" adjustable wrench for working on a motorcycle??? Also, dont ever buy cheaper hex keys, unless you like buying things twice. Just dont.

I'm pretty sure they were around 15 years ago, but they're definitely more popular and widespread now. -DrewZilla
Would the metric toolkit work well for a Triumph Street Triple? A "British" bike?

The CruzTools quality is higher, but either is fine. -DrewZilla
will this tool kit be good for a 2004 Suzuki SV650S ?
The Metric Kit is a good starting point, but you would need to supplement the kit with a JIS screwdriver as well as other items from the stock tool kit that came with the bike. -DrewZilla
