If people want to pay for overpriced quotes on a lego plate then lego should offer that as an online option to let you make them say anything and change the color.
I would say the Boarding the Tantive is like the perfect price point. It feels about the same display size plus a bunch of minis. I don't think it is technically a diorama but I feel like that set just captures everything I would want from a diorama. Even though this has a higher piece count, they are a bunch of little pieces and no minis.
I’ve been saying it since day 1 that dioramas are so overrated and extremely overpriced. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve told you this is a $40 set
I just see the fact that Sebulba's racer doesn't fit through the arch as a perspective thing. He's at the front so his podracer just looks bigger 😂 Of course if he did fit through the arch, it would mean more mass to the set which could help to justify it's ridiculous price.
@@fivelonelyclones but he's right. Pixeldan's recreation on rebrickable is everything the set should have been. Also, the parts used are nothing special, the design is not overwhelmingly well thought out. In fact, the SNOT wall is a little ridiculous.

@@fivelonelyclones This is a bad product, that’s hard to deny. 1. The size is not correct, speeder and background are not scaled correctly 2. No figures make the set automatically worse 3. @@Mike-sp7zvno it’s not at all lol the Podracers are way more detailed then a poly bag build would be and the rock work looks really good and is fun to build it’s not just some “land” no reason to downplay it
@@fivelonelyclonessebulba's podracer is larger, but what's the piece count on anakin's podracer? The land is very detailed, but that doesn't mean I'd want to spend $40 for sand. Lego could make a class of larger, more detailed poly bags for 20-40 bucks. That's still half the price of this set. Imagine getting small detailed polybags of these podracers + other podracers we hardly or never get that don't equal $80 millennium falcons because there's tons of smaller star wars ships that don't need $80 price tags. If terrain costs that much then Lego should go back to the johnny thunder days and make one large special terrain piece. Everyone loved and still loves those and is ideal for making mocs unlike this high piece count arch

The fact this set is 80$ is just crazy. Sucks cause it’s actually a pretty cool set too.
If it costs 80 bucks it should include minifigs
Hot take: Just sell the pod racers individually in polybags lol. Anakin doesn't want all those sand background pieces.
Agreed, It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
$30 take it or leave it
yeah I'll just make my own from bricklink for $30.

If it had the 2 headed announcer i would buy this but as it stands, dor $80, no.
That absolutely should have been 50 dollars max
30/40 tbh
Sebulba’s podracer not being able to go through the arch bothers me so much lol.
This should have been the duel of the fates.
Yeah it would be an amazing diorama and we could get ep 1 obi wan

Completely agree. In my head, the designer is mad about the price too.
Basically 2 polybag builds on a base plate. 25$ for the lack of prints and the size error.
Not even close, the build is great and would be a solid 9/10 if it was $60 or $65. You’re just saying that because mandr did

Drop that price down and it’s an instant buy for me
