If you want me to be brought to tears, watching Ella Toone's goal against Germany in the Euros final will do that. Her control and vision is unsurpassed. She reads the game better than most and is always where she needs to be. To collect that wonderful, 40 yard pass from Kiera, take it under control and lift it over the advancing Frohms head into the empty net, was magical. What a footballer she is!!!. No frills, no ego, just pure talent
It was a magical moment. Unfortunately though she didn't make space for herself so that Bronze could pass her the ball, and that led to Spain's goal in the World Cup final a year later.
My fave goal from the Euro's,Russo's back heel goal against Sweden. Truly Amazing!
Imagine they get matching tattoos and Stanway is the one that do it!

Weirdly I just commented "Stars" on episode 1, then this episode ends on another Simply Red track "Fairground".
I am typically northern and love that Ella is so down to earth. I commented on her channel that the first pal I made over her side of the Pennines was a posh sounding southerner, Sir Alok Sharma. However, he explained he learned BBC English from BBC World Service radio in India as a small child and wanted to know if you could tune in to it up north.

No offence to the host, she's lovely but this doesn't work. I thought it would be Ella and Alessia hosting and having different guests on each week and it being abit more relaxed and fun.

That would never work. Neither Ella or Alessia are natural hosts. They bounce well off each other but they need someone to lead conversations. Most pods have someone who can actually host. The Footballer’s Football Podcast has Rickie Haywood-Williams, for instance. Without him Michail and Callum (now Tom) would be lost. Remember this is only the second episode too. I’m sure things will get more natural and they’ll have guests at some point too.
