I am a long time opera fan(atic). When I saw her a number of years ago in Il Tabarro, I was very impressed with Ms. Grigorian's potential. Beautiful appearance, wonderful acting, and a first class voice. Since she has progressed wonderfully. I worried when she performed Madama Butterfly and Salome (a great performance) that she might proceed too quickly into heavier repertoire. However, now in the prime years of her career, her voice sounds in very good shape. This performance from earlier this year proves that. Glad to see and hear it. There aren't many talents like her in opera currently. I look forward to seeing and hearing Ms. Grigorian often in the future.

I've heard this aria many, many times and this was definitely the most boring. You must look to Madame Scotto, Tebaldi or even La Fleming for the beautiful and phasing.
