0:48 Yiga Technician: “No! P-p-lease don’t kill me. I have a wife and children. Listen man, they just called me out here to update the KohgOS on this thing”
2:26 came up with this idea, biggest problem is keeping the wheels stable enough that they dont twist themselves off by spinning too fast. This thing though can go stupid fast and climb almost all terrain, you can even add paddles farther up so it can swim
Link has some incredible grip strength to not be thrown from the stack of spinning wheels. Maybe he had a lot of practice with a Sit and Spin toy as a child. lol
I just got to the Gerudo desert the other night, and happened to drop a boulder on top of a tumbleweed which went flying. Made me wonder why something so light isn't used in building, and here we are!
The spinning weaponry doing more damage also applies to beam emitters. You can do way more dps with a few radial beams that rotate and slap targets like fan blades. It's nuts but also a bit more situational.
That gives me an idea... Electric motor or big wheel loaded with spinning beam emitters, strapped to the underside of a hovering vehicle that's calibrated just right to not gain too much height. Or if the "drill" motion also works on beam emitters, some kind of spinning laser drill on a construct head...
I knew the wheels would speed each of them up; as a veteran Besiege player, that was easy to predict, given that's how all wheel based land speed vehicles do it. And like in Besiege, too many of them is a bad idea. Just be glad your stackable wheels don't break off after 5 wheels, ours go flying after that.
that opening clip reminds me of some old arrow farming glitch i read about for Skyrim. but i couldn't get it to work. first, you needed a high enough pickpocket skill to affect guards, and head to Dragonsreach. there's a guard on the training grounds practicing his archery. all you had to do was pickpocket his supply of arrows, and put in 1 arrow of the type you want (Ebony being best, i think), and he'll switch to the new arrow type. after that just loot the arrows he's shooting into the target
0:43 The funny part of this is? This isn’t a glitch. This isn’t an exploit. This is actually something anyone trying to get the Yiga schema stones things will come across naturally in their playthrough. My headcanon is that this machine was intended to do something else, but then this happened and the devs were like “it’s a Yiga, this is in character, we’re keeping it in!”
I want a gimbled thing work for me so badly, but each time I make one I just get flipped, then one side is facing up, the other one down and it just doesn’t work
I came here to say this. Any gimballed flying build needs some kind of frame to prevent the fans from flipping upside down. The clip in this compilation even is RIGHT about to flip over when the clip cuts off at the end. They're just impossibly finnicky to fly without causing the fans to stick. Maybe something stuck to the wagon wheels to prevent over-rotation would work but then your part count is just getting way too high for it to be worth it over a simple 3-part flyer of either dominant type.
My 9 year old did the skydive from his hoverbike into the depths darkness and pulled out his paraglider at the last second. He was so excited said it was the coolest thing he'd ever done in a game 🤣🥰
I wonder if the Tumbleweeds could be incorporated into the Y-Wing design for lower energy use and water landings. That whole thing about them being flammable is still a problem though.
I figured out about the stackable speed without first seeing it in action, after I found out that the stabilizers when attached to a wheel cause the entire craft to rotate opposite how the wheel is rotating. That means that the wheels aren't actually wheels at all, it's more like they're constantly warping your craft in such a way that the "wheel" appears to be rotating.
I have not seen a Bokoblin with bomb flowers in his satchel but when I see one I'm gonna quicksave and remember this vid. It's sort of like farming arrows off idiots but but way smarter. Nice, thanks!
