It's just because she CAN'T sing it. She's a completely untalented singer. Her voice has not nearly enough power to sound like it should like on the digitalized studio album version. You can proof this on every single live video of that song.

And yes, i still love all these old songs, but Sandra had almost 20 years to learn the techniques. Same goes with all the big hits - You Can't Stop me, Big in Japan, Lord Of the Boards. Not even close when performing live. A sad thing to realize that all of these songs were '"fine tuned" in the studio. 100lvl of laziness. Can't even believe it.
