Megyn Kelly continues her talk with Mike Adamle, a former NFL player who has exhibited symptoms consistent with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), who says, “There is something intrinsically wrong with a sport where you lose your marbles.” His wife Kim says that though “we can’t stop CTE,” there are other things they can do to promote brain growth.

I love football. This sucks. Mike Adamle was an amazing player and sportscaster...I grew up with that guy as a kid. I just want to give him a hug, his wife an amazing thank you, and hope Mike is provided as many smiles as possible daily. He's got to have some lousy days dealing with this, but man I hope people rally around him. It sounds like they are. Thanks Mike for the joy you brought me, and thanks to his family and friends for supporting him.

I noticed something when he was at NBC Sports. I saw the same thing with his co-Hort Johnny Morris when he was at CBS Sports. Both early 80’s. I didn’t notice on Nick Buonoconti though but he was with Len Dawson for Inside The NFL. Both Johnny and Mike didn’t seem to connect with other anchors and reporters like the way Tom Jackson did with Chris Berman. They were slower and deliberate. I thought it was being ex jocks transitioning ala Sandy Koufax. Prayers for all.

As a LPT, helmets have come a long way since when Mike played but Riddell is HQ in Chicago, helmets need to contine to stive to be better in their head protection.

Mike came from great stock, his father Dr. Tony Adamle, had the same mentality as Mike. He faces this problem like the champion he is and that's the lesson here for me.
