That actually is not a problem. Surf at Mantra is at chest level water. And as long as you have your surf board attached to you with the leash, you will never sink. So don’t worry, you just need to be comfortable being in the ocean. I do suggest that you eventually should learn how to swim, it’s a life skill. If you decide to learn surfing at Mantra you can spend the rest of you time learning to swim in the river, and I’m sure you’ll find help. A swim in the Shambhavi river with the sun setting behind you is a feeling to live for.
