A delightful very sharply in focused video. We used to see quite a number of these intriguing masters of the air, on what was once called Philips Hill Farm near Chorleywood. Every summer we would watch them catching flies around the farm buildings, over the herd of Red Poll cattle to then return to their perch upon the telephone lines. But sadly like all wild life in the UK today it is rapidly diminishing under the pressure of the ever growing population and the get rich quick building barons, who sole aim to make big profits are franticly trying to concrete over this once green and pastoral country of ours.

Lovely: captures the species perfectly. Used to to see them every summer on the local Common, perched on the same post, but they've "gone missing" in recent years. We now have huge numbers of Ring-necked (Rose-ringed is the proper name now I believe) Parakeets, but I miss the Spotted Fly! Still, nature is in a constant state of flux. Congrats as ever on great work.
