Hats off for anyone trying to improve the area but it's gone to the dogs AND a house costs a fortune here like anywhere else in London lots of violence and crime in this area like most of Croydon really but Thornton Heath is worse. Portland Road is catching up I mean down as well Hopefully the council won't be bankrupt for ever and will improve the whole area
Moved here from trendy Hackney in 2011, and its a lot safer and yeah, less hip and a bit boring, but loads of green space and friendly neighbours, air quality is a LOT better than where I lived too.
