It's always a few months when she goes quite which I guess she's focused on someone new then reaches out again because I can't be replaced. Yeah, they always think the grass in the greener, American culture has taught women they should be entitled to everything, when they offer little. It sounds like you with a single mother, unwed or divorced, doesn't matter, major red flag to be with them, I speak from experience. Never take back someone who doesn't appreciate who uses you for utility.
How can you be unaffected by someone rejecting you if you have already developed feelings toward that person and/or have been in a relationship with them for a while?
By being confident.. but the real answer is introspection dig deep into why you feel so deeply for this person. Are they the best person you can get (impossible no one person is better than the other especially if they don’t want you). It’s ok to feel bad about being rejected but you also have to be intuitive enough to know that rejection is rarely about the other person and rather about the person rejecting you never know peoples mental state maybe the person is mentally unhealthy you should be happy about the rejection that you have new opportunities to find something that suits you
Be logical if you did nothing wrong (or even if you did) rejection is a blessing and a redirection to better things that are more in alignment with you
