June’s DK was insane this whole tournament, I honestly feel like he’s gotten way more consistent against high skill players with high tier characters than this character’s placement says he ever should get, but man Aklo was just perfect this whole game
Seriously, Aklo was insane with the wave shine combos and edge guards. My jaw dropped at the speed of that second or third time he did it off the edge into the drill spike. June played incredibly this tournament but aklo displayed some serious match up knowledge and execution here. Big ups and respect to both 🫡
@@ViKODiN_ he also had just an insane neutral the whole time, June could not land a single bair in neutral, aklo was just always outspacing him, and yeah that comes down to just crazy match knowledge, way more than a Fox normally has on a DK at this point in the meta
Hopefully this inspires more DK's & others to keep pushing their characters. I love the DK renaissance & theme of players elevating their characters, Junebug with DK, Amsa with Yoshi, Hbox with Puff. No one can deny, more character diversity is more entertaining. (Fox players will likely be offended, but having a bad Fox is like having a slow Ferrari.)
After watching a couple junebug vids it kills me i just think to myself DK would be so much better if his back air just had better knock back, feels like DK has to work so hard to kill horizontally
If you want boring check ultimate, I was just looking at the matches for that one and the most recently uploaded sets were Steve dittos, Steve vs sonic, and Steve vs samus. Truly a nightmare timeline.
