The pain and disappointment in Zahid’s eyes is so evident , when he said that my mother use to massage me believing that my knee would get fine with it , I almost cried , treated and managed properly Zahid could have played 30-40 tests more , he was the fastest bowler in the world in 1996-97

Had shoaib and zahid represented australia they would have been the epitome of fast bowling.
Gross mismanagement of genuine gems quite expected of PCB which concerned only of nurturing their giant egos

Ive heard Shoaib always praising Zahid being quicker and more importantly an intelligent bowler. Hearing him for the first time he comes across as a humble fellow. Unfortunately the lack of player management in Pakistan strikes again.

Doctor Saheb used the term "Pampers" for batsmen facing the duo quickies is very disrespectful towards the players. In addition to international cricketers, national batsmen playing in departmental matches are also obviously included in this category. A person of the calibre of Doctor Saheb should not use such street language to undermine batsmen of that time.

Zahid was a beast. Real athlete , for my inter school games. I saw him warming up in Asghar ali shah Stadium . That was i think 1996, this man roves for like 21 times for the whole ground. I literally counted his runs, such stamina is really missing these days. God Bless you brother.

Waqar Younis was another fast who was partially wasted (30-40% wasted). He took 180 wickets in first 32 tests (10/match 5 times & 5/innings around 20 times). After that he got injured, he never been the same bowler again. He took 10/11 tests to complete 200 wickets. In rest of his career he got 10/match only once & 5/innings only 3/4 times.
Reason was excessive county cricket (5 days/week). PCB didn't stop him or did discussed with him about work load/ career management. On the contrary, at the same time, ACB made a special contract (Additional payment) with Shane Warne & didn't allow him to play County. And you see the result.

Aww man it REALLY breaks my heart to see Zahid where he is, even though he might be doing fine in life, he should have been just as popular as Shoaib (same as Waqar and Wasim are both equally famous). On topic I absolutely LOVED after 13-14 mins when they started discussing how they should have been used and how to properly utilise quick bowlers with extreme pace. Like dr. Sahib said, Shoaib explained it beautifully. The details about the Pony shoes, drinking milk and eating paratha's being considered good, were icing on the cake, sad but also nostalgic.

@@vedantmehra6970 I think PCB is plagued with incompetence and ineptness.
Pakistan has never been short on cricketing talent, which meant, unlike say New Zealand, Bangladesh or even Sri Lanka, we never had a problem fielding a quality or good enough team. There were always players competing for positions.
That resulted in PCB not really caring to groom or look after talent. But in recent years PCB is doing relatively better job, still a long way to go though.

Reason for Muhammad Zahid's short career:
After 11 wickets in his first test match he was selected for sri Lankan dead wickets test matches. Both W's( Wasim and Waqar) skip those test matches to avoid phenta and injury. M. Zahid's was already overbowled but on those Sri Lanka dead pitches he was really overbowled and had a back fracture. Due to that he was rule out for a year. After the year again he was selected for test against Australia in Peshawar. Again two W's skip the test because of dead wicket. Shoaib Akhter and Muhamad zahid played that test match in which Mark taylor scored a triple century (it shows how dead wicket was). They both were over bowled. Even though Doctors recommended pcb to not overbowl zahid but they didn't listen. He again got injured and his career was finished 😥

Two genuinely fast bowlers with two different mind sets. Shoaib is a believer in gym built muscular body. Zahid is the old school believer in sprinter's body. Micheal Holding is also a believer that fast should only run, run and run.

In short, Zahid knee and back wasnt broken because of cricket or bowling action, it was during fielding practice and soccer practice. Watch from @45.44 and 48.14 sums up everything. Its soo funny they did a whole show based on thinking it was because of bowling action.. .turns out 45 minutes later, Zahid says both injuries were not related to bowling action whatsoever. You can clearly see the disappointment on Shoaib Akhtar's face, and the sheer amusement on Rashid Latif's face, doc did you good job with saving face - good host doctor sahib.

This was the best show till date !!! The best analysis. Why not pcb recruit shoeb for nurturing talent and Dr. For scientific research and management !! Cricket needs fast bowling brand for viewership its sad that we dont see such bowlers in todays generation! Imagine shoeb bowling at 100 miles per hour what kind of crowd he will pull and what kind of brand he will generate. In my opinion fast bowlers should be paid more so that they can look after themselves as their carriers are short and they do more physical work instead of paying flat track bullies heaps just like todays batsman. They are not tested more often which is being reflected in their batting averages. Shoeb bhai might be temperamental but he speaks the truth. I have never seen a player more genuine than him. I am a very big fan of shoeb but if we are not being partial most of times he is right. He is not a diplomat or a hypocrite as most people are in todays world. I genuinely feel and pray that may allah bless him always. Rashid latif and doctor sahab are also doing great service to cricket. And lastly what a wasted talent mohammad zahid was one more mention of another good bowler was mohammad akram he was also talented and got less opportunities because of poor management. Had there been a rotational policy of fast bowlers then these players coud have been managed better.
All the best to caught behind because this channel deserve more viewership. Thanks love from india 🇮🇳.

Zahid, you were very quick bowler, today I came to know you were mismanaged.PCB should have taken care of you properly. It is rare in the world to have bowlers with 100 miles speed. The management should have put in the strenuous fielding exercises.
You are a sheer victim of mismanagement.

Carrier of Waqar, Soaib, Bruce Reid, Lee, Bhubaneswar Kumar are shortened due to injury.
