  • 50 Yard Per Hour Wash Plant designed and implemented by Joel Farmer. This was my second largest gold mine ( I had one partner on this one) Arizona still has A LOT of gold!

    no, you dont need the mercury to separate it, because it polutes the water and it is unnessesary, what u can do is separate the kind of metal stuff with a magnet inside a plastic cup so the metal will stick to the bottom of the cup and take away from the dish where the gold is and then let it drop, u will probably have a lot of metals there, to check if have done it right, look at it through a transparent thing...... Sorry for the 3 weeks time of answer....

    I like the muck/silt separator at the end of the set up. Any where to find more info on that piece?

    I've been doing this for 22 years - if this deposit had any gold of economic value stuck to the outside of the over sized rocks, I would have designed a wash plant that would have scrubbed the oversized rocks. This deposit did not.

    I also wonder why they never showed the guys from Gold Rush Alaska using mercury?

    Do you still have to use mercury at the end to clean the flakes/dust?

  • @goldrushpro
    @goldrushpro  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That would be because they didn't use mercury. We have modern machines now that recover the gold better than mercury.

    Joel, what's the water wheel looking gizmo at the end?

    • @MdvGau
      @MdvGau 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see what it is now...essentially a de-waterer. Separates most of the water from the silt and captures the water to be re-cycled into the settling pond with flows into the main pond water source

    hey man, you are doing it wrong!!!!!! sorry for that but, if you dont wash the big boulders, the big rocks that dont get washed in the shaker or whatever, the gold that sticks to then will be lost. and it looks like the dirt is only washed when they get inside the trommel.
