I love visiting Japan, always interesting things to see.
So many more exciting places to see in Tokyo !! Abit of a low key excursion as you cant get in to the Palace.Was there in Autumn Tokyo was amazing and Mount Fuji enjoy the rest of the sights .

10:26 For anybody who goes to Japan......Those little Aluminum Coke Bottles make great, quick, cheap and easy souvenirs. Every city (At least the ones I've been to) have these bottles for their respective city (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama etc.) as well as some specialty bottles as well. Going to assume they'll have a ton for the Olympics. They can be found in vending machines or can usually find them in food markets as well. Roughly $1.50-$2.50 USD they're a great little gift to bring back to others.

Tony, nice video. Since Don had been to Asia a few times before, I feel like he should have been aware that the palace gate is only open a couple of times a year. Looking forward to the temple.
I believe that this is the trip that Don had in his vlog. I'm sure he would have told Tony about this excursion if he had been aware of it..

I'm fascinated by the vending machines they have in Japan. I've watched many TH-cam videos about them. Tabi Eats did one about a vending machine cafe that had tons of hot food.

Was this an excursion to a gate? What else did you see on the ship excursion to the gate. Beautiful city, yes. A long hot walk to a gate, no thanks. Were you not permitted to film the gate? There must be more, otherwise a very expensive day trip to a vending machine, oh, and the gate.
I agree. It was a let down. We did go from there to a temple which was cool, but this was legit half of the excursion. Kinda disappointing. - Tony
