I own the old-gen Creta 1.6 CRDI manual. I also test-drove the new-gen Creta 1.5 D. As you said, the old Creta has more soft suspension but never felt out of place. But the engine is too fast; sometimes it overpowers the driver. Brakes are bad in the old-gen Creta. Steering is not that feedback-rich but artificially adds weight after 80 kmph. After 6 years of ownership, the 1.6D Creta is enjoyable to drive solely because of the engine, which always surprises the driver with power delivery at any given point. The new Creta has more poshness, good legroom, and adequate power (not like the 1.6) & with lot of features.. Overall, the Creta product itself is very reliable and comfortable for the Indian market.
I am also 2016 SX 1.6 engine very smooth driving and performance better than new creta..

Sir please clarified which SUV is best Creta or seltos. Am looking automatic disel how much give mileage for on road automatic disel both variant. Whch is bigger resale value
In my point of view, soft suspension is much more required. We dont the race the car at all times but we expect comfort at every point. The reason behind is every family will have people aged 40+. They are worried about the comfort. Their question is very simple and we could answer "why 15+ lak rupee car could not give comfort and your old 4 laks worth car rides comfy" No answer from my side for their question. We recently made 500+ long drives, crossing the expansion joint is horrible...Every one travelled got neck pain. We are not into racing competition and roads in india is always not good..Nowadays the point of enthusiasm takes away the comfort which is the prime need for every one.

@18:25… on the history-I too agree very much…Same here I too don’t like Hyundai because of its Dead steering… you had just told what I always wanted to say, on fiesta vs Verna … driven both extensively… Once you start using Ford (Older Cars) you will never want to go back to another car, only Fiat can be compared to its handling and driver satisfaction.

As you mentioned at 1:17 are you sure it has a 4+ stars build quality?, because I get confused about it with others review about Hyundai's Creta/Alcazzar build quality.

1. GNCAP is a scam now
2. Hyundai has updated the Creta with 6 Airbags, VSM, ESC, All wheel Disc brakes etc for better safety

I have a doubt....xuv 300 with 2 airbag, not even disc brakes,no other safty features got 5 star but creta with 6 airbag,all disk and more safty got only 3 star....it can't be acceptable....Gnacp is scam now

For me when wearing seat belt I have a inconvenience feeling when the belt touches the shoulder bones. Any tips to avoid that. I'm using a cushion but even then it's not convenient..

@MotoWagon, I have same model, Creta Diesel SXO manual. I should say every thing is good in this car except the suspension. I felt this car is not meant for city. slow driving in pot holes gets very stiff suspension and you feel the body is dropping hardly. i have enquired with most service dealers but they said this is their natural suspension setup. just checking if any one else faced the same issue?

@@motowagon while you do test drive for videos you need a pay a little attention on suspension in most road conditions... utmost every creta owner has this issue and this is turning out to be a pathetic issue for creta car. @Motowagon. Can you compare Mahindra’s 1.5 4Cyl Diesel and Hyundai’s 1.5 Diesel engine?
As a owner of BS6 Marazzo. After test driving carens diesel, I find the crdi is less refined than Marazzo. I could feel the vibes on the clutch and brake pedals. There is no such issues with Marazzo which feels better than a petrol car due to its benchmark NVH levels.
Also I'm getting a mileage of around 20+ in highways 70-85 kmph and 14 to 16 in city.

1.5 CRDi is more refined, more efficient.
1.5 D15 in Marazzo is more peppy, Torquey and feels strong in the mide range due to the wide Torque band

I drove this latest creta and ecosport in highway for many kilometres, i feel the creta high speed stability is not so good and not give confident in quick overtakes. It floats on the road. Where as ecosport is quite better machine.
Hyundai cars are generally like that...they don't give you confidence... Moreover on the safety front, it is not at all great

Brother creta diesel latest 14/07/23 has problem of Dooping sensor n urea hose problem. Manufacturing defect. Vangi within 5days got this problem more than 12 creta have been complaint in 2months pls check n make video about this.

Latest creta dsl is superb when compared to the old creta. Buy dsl with out any confusion. It's simply superb in performance.
Planing to buy creta s+ knight Edition. But sx is jus 1L costly but has lots options. But i dont like the chrome grill. Wat should i do? Sx or Knight edition. Pls give ur suggestions.

Kudos to Hyundai improved a lot. I driven the 2nd gen creta steering needs improvement from point of Linea user, engine and gears are smooth and suspension tune better for handling too..
Still None can match the mechanicals of Terrano..

The creta diesel of 2020 has one major issue, not sure if you already know. The DPF warning. It comes up every time if you drive creta in city traffic at low speeds. @motowagen
