Great video, and the only one I have seen that points out the markers on the compass that give the direction and distance to the current biological samples you have already scanned. The codex information on the individual genus's tell you the distance you need to travel to achieve the required genetic diversity. Third party tools like "SRV Survey" provide this information on an in game overlay. CMDR Burr states that "SRV Survey" is an excellent companion tool to "Elite Observatory" another third party tool.
The starting system gets you about 100m. So right off the bat you could have a decent amount of money. What I did when I started is did a bunch of station missions building up rep and getting about 100k or less each. Bought the cobra, then you can get everything you need to explore pretty easy. Just swap out parts on that ship to do other things so you dont get bored of doing the same things. Cobra is the perfect starting ship as its decent enough to get you mining, exploring, fighting, etc.
I went with an asp explorer for my first ship out of the sidewinder. I just did a short expedition, only turned in 7 planets worth of bio data, with bonus it was worth 1.3billion.
Couple things would make this So Much more enjoyable. 1) Let is pack the little drums, we should be able to pack at least 3 one in the gun and one on each hip with options for more. 2) Along with how they are trying to keep it real they could take a page from what NASA and others are fiending in regard to Bacterium. It's mostly found Below ground (aside from water but that's not going to be for us) They need to give us more to explore. Lava tubes and ice caves would be fun to have to enter to get samples. Worrying about getting lost and battery life, yup make it more Interesting and nail-biting enjoyable. I know the big one many are asking for is critters and being able to walk around in our ships. Some ships have the basic layout of their internals done so that may not be as hard to do. Critters would be a little. How about they take a page from the old Star Wars Galaxies and how they had implemented sand box worlds. Being able to do all we are now PLUS fabricate mining units we could place and harvest from on plaints. Camps of many sixes and configurations and mases and buildings. That game is now OLD as Dirt in Game in tech years, so if they had all that on theirs, one would think it more than possible on such Massively advanced games as this. With the low percent of worlds, we can actually land on that have any semblance of atmosphere the percent that may have critters or Ore or other useful things that would make setting up a base would make it feasible I'd think. I'm just not in to the Thargoid thing. When I came in it was already a thing and jumping in at that point, I was not invested at all and with it all locked behind a story line and a crafting system that was ambiguous and hard to figure out and implement alone, you really need to be in a big group to do much and they have done little to promote people getting on their main servers or group interactions. Just some thoughts. Great vid, short and to the point.
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you as well. Those exo payouts had me run back to the bubble with enough money to buy so much tritium I don’t know when I will ever have to refuel.
Im just glad they made it so it’s worth while for someone to actually take the exploration route as a viable way to make their way in the game. Because of these payouts I’m bringing my fleet carrier back to the bubble to result with enough tritium to never return.
Yes and no. You can increase your chances of finding life by going to favorable stars. M, G, and K stars seems to have the highest amount of bio. If you can find water atmosphere rich systems you will find a lot of bio signals. Ammonia atmospheres are really good to.
Quick question: once you have scanned those 3 samples, can you return to your original position and scan them again, and again? Or once you have scan them (with the diversity) you cannot scan them anymore?
@@thecursingexplorer138 thanks for the reply. One last question, what if I reset the instance by loggin out to main menu, and what If, while being in the same planet, I go to somewhere else with different diversity, can I still scan the same specie but in different locations?
Main sequence stars seem to have the highest likelihood, however, I have found my highest numbers 8 signatures per moon, around gas giants near any type of star. If you find a good system, odds are there will be a few good systems in the area.
so are these biological surface sites then? ive been flying around the past few days i cannot seem to find them edit: or do u just look around any planet?
I’ll be making a more detailed video soon. I keep getting sick, once you map the planet it will turn blue, the blue areas are where life is, from there it’s pretty much fly or drive around. Certain bio signals only show up in certain environments. Conchas are usually in rocky shadey areas, tussocks (the grassy ones) are usually in open flat lands.
you just look around, In the deep surface scanner when you fully scan a planet it will show a "Heat map" that just paints regions the organism will pop up

great job .im out in the black and getting 100million on exi bio .07 have a great xmas and new year and fly safe

Great exo tutorial. Informative and enterteining. Thanks.
PD: its relatively easy money , btw.,delivering data is simpler, faster and better paid.

Great guide, thank you very much!
One question - as I only recently got into ED after Odyssey - is there a way to find the best planets?

@@thecursingexplorer138 Alright, thanks!
yes watch down to earth astronomy his channel is great for everything elite
Great video, what do I need on my fc to make it easier?
Vista Gernomics. You can turn the data right in on your own carrier.
Quick question: once you have scanned those 3 samples, can you return to your original position and scan them again, and again? Or once you have scan them (with the diversity) you cannot scan them anymore?
One and done per planet.

But the most important question is not inside this tutorial. Where i can find the plants???
