I really liked that Meliodas was so OP. I don't know why. I think I get bored of the Shonen trope of main character gets beat to near death and has to recover. I just liked that Meliodas got to go beast mode and win. Same with One Punch Man. I do love this show though, I recommend it to everybody I know.
KhaosElement I agree. As someone who has watched every other Shoenen of the Last 15 years to some extent, it was nice to see the heroes being so overpowered and all of them are somewhat useful for once. I'd have a bigger problem with this and OPM if they had 100 plus episodes though. 12-25 is manageable though and refreshing

I actually don't enjoy Shounen anime a ton in general. One, because of length, and two because of the predictable story nature of it. Bad guy shows up, bad guy crushes everybody, protagonist gets buffer through convoluted story mechanism, protagonist beats bad guy. Rinse and repeat. I like the idea of Shounen, but just get bored by that. I liked OPKirito. Well, in the first game. I hated that series with a passion once the first game ended. I like Saitama, I like Meliodas. It's just not for me.
*+KhaosElement* Did he even say he likes typical shounen characters? He only said "just being OP" doesn't automatically mean "good". What makes a good or bad character is the execution regardless of the character's OPness.
PanchBoyMemes Bro...The Second season is gonna be a thing. There is a enough content to be animated and This anime was really successfull. Oh and ever heard of That 4 episode thing called "signs of the holy war"? They animated 4 episodes exactly enough so that they have the fillers between the two arcs just for the lolz?
Agreed... And the sad thing is that the author is REALLY weak when it comes to writing female characters. I don't think he knows how to write them outside of some veneer of sexuality, as oddly enough Merlin is probably his most developed female character and she's... Well yeah... Honestly Elizabeth feels like she also belongs as the main mary sue character of a bad young adult novel on top of being a stock shonen damsel. She's their weird mishmash that just doesn't work.
It seems to be a strong trend in the manga/anime world... I get the feeling it might be because of the conservative gender roles in Japan, and that perhaps most writers are men. Even HxH suffers a bit from it, though mostly in the lack of female character rather than the lack in quality of female characters.
Btw, Elizabeth wasn't useless eye candy if you watched the whole thing. She did her part, and I think she will do more in other seasons. No spoilers if you've seen past me. I've only watched episode 1-24.
I'm glad I'm not the only person that finds Meliodas annoying. I could never finish this series because his pervy behavior often goes without punishment.
I thought this show was kind of middle of the road. Not bad by any means; just not particularly great, either. Also, yeah, Elizabeth does seem to rather enjoy getting groped, which is kind of weird.
Yeah, I found it to be good, but not great. And kinda the low end of good. But still good. I mean, I did watch the whole thing and did so over the course of like a week, so it was doing something right.
The Baws Cause that's the fucking normal reaction. No girl wants to be groped without consent. Unless she wants to bang too. But Elizabeth doesn't even want that. She's just indifferent.
i liked his harassment personally just because there wasn't the cliched response of unnecessary violence or ear piercing screeching. plus miliodas as a character was super likable from the beginning so that helped
I liked how pretty much all of the sins were established as piece-of-shit human beings right off the bat (even if they weren't actually human). It was kind of a nice change of pace, even if they kind of forgot about that with some of them later on. That being said, it did irk me that none of the female characters were done particularly well. Not bad enough to make me dislike the show, but things like Diane being afraid of bugs and Elizabeth being completely useless except for literally one time and having barely any personality just kinda bothered me.
There is a reason for a MUCH MUCH later in the manga which was why she was fine with Melodias. Not even Melodias's former lover but Elizabeth's REAL origin.
Seven Deadly Sins was such a fun series to watch. I always felt like I was having a good time watching it, and like Arkada the episodes went by pretty quickly. The manga is fun too, although A-1 Picture's action animation and Hiroyuki Sawano's track greatly enhance the series as a whole. All in all, a pretty good Shonen action series to watch if you want to have a good time.
Oh trust me you are not the only person who likes this series. While I couldn't get into it (I do plan on giving it another chance) everyone I know praise the shit out of the seven deadly sins.
Hey, but Kikyo and Kagome are the same person and let's be honest here Kagoma is a lot better than Kikyo. But what I'm trying to say here is that Elizabeth's character is really bad just like how Kikyo's character is really bad, if that makes sense to you.
"If you're like me and don't care about the manga..." I mean, I haven't read the Soul Eater manga, but I still think that it's anime ending is terrible.
ChocoKaylaRobin But avatar is not an anime!! At this rate why don't he review Gumball World, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Totally Spies, Action Man ATOM...etc
I only just finished the anime. I've been reading the manga, and some of the things you didn't care for is explained or changed. It is a great show, and loved the review!
I didnt expect the 7 deadly sins to be here, really unexpected but whathever. Funny thing is that most of this review's points aplies not only to the anime but also to the manga until the present day, if anything it gets much worse later.
Masashi Kishimoto has ended Naruto and Shippuden, probably for good. However a second series with Boruto (Bullet), Naruto's son, is still ongoing but with another author, KODACHI Ukyo, and artist, IKEMOTO Mikio. So in a sense the story is still ongoing, but in my humble opinion it feels more like a lower grade spin off than a continuation of the story.
Naruto is not over yet.. They still have to make the last chapter from the manga! Until then a lot of Hidden Novals are coming out like Sasuke,, Shikamaru etc.
I wasn't saying Meliodas was angry, Glass reflection mentioned that its refreshing to see a shounen character not be overly serious all the time XD when the 2 most popular aernt even all that serious. Goku is very upbeat and even more so luffy. Makes me think he doesn't watch shounen
The same think could be said for Naruto, gon, ippo, natsu, ed is kind of a mixed bag from fma. Ichigo is kind of the only one that I would consider serious.
having big breasts is not a action. also she motivated meliodas to do something which led the sins getting together and saved everyones lives. but sure nothing.
Akemi Homura also, Lmfao. if you're going to argue that having a conversation counts as an action then that means literally no character in any show is ever useless, which is completely false. At least you tried though.
the fact the characters started overpowered is what I actually liked.. The build-up of power in typical shounen is annoying... this series is more like the characters already have pasts are already insanely strong and it's more about them reacquiring their power that they already had more than gaining some new power through some cliche training arc. Also slight spoiler... the people they fight throughout the show are pretty fucking weak... that first season was more of an introduction to the characters. The things that will happen in season 2 will VERY much PUSH all the characters to the edge. You can't expect a challenge from the magic knights when the 7 or them ( COUGH 6 ) were already suppose to be the strongest knights in the kingdom.
@@dejanhaskovic5204 why do you bother watching a shounen without any kind of growth? It's like saying you like cars without engines... Just watch a seinen instead of this mob of crappy anime cliché. It's okay if you have a weakened character that must reacquire power but in 7 deadly sins even in season 2 Meliodas and Escanor are WAY too strong
@@manuelcampi8956 >A shounen without any kind of growth Theres growth both character wise and power wise. Are we even talking about same anime? The problem seems to be with you expecting every shounen to follow chsracters since the time they learned to walk. I see no problem with Meliodas and Escanor being too strong or whatever. Powerlevel is irrelevant to me as long as it doesn't overshadow other characters which in this show it doesn't unlike some others like late stage naruto and almost entire dbz. It still manages to make a compelling and interesting plot because fights and power isn't the main focus of the show. We see lots of character's internal struggles, the evolving and dynamic relationships between them, and so many questions and mysteries that are yet to be answered even after season 2. The way they deliver meliodas'es and other's backstory bit by bit is honestly brilliant and not many shows manage to pulls this off right. Not trying to be disrespectful, but the way you judge the entire show based on a single merit that doesn't need to be neither good nor bad is just dumb. Also, you are stepping into the gatekeeping territory bud.
@@dejanhaskovic5204 Escanor and Meliodas overshadow so badly the other characters that I don't even care about Ban, King and.. the others. All of their drama and "struggles" are just a pretty meh. The story is ok at best and the ""funny"" moments are meant to make you puke. The only good part are the fights. The way I judge the show is appropiate to the show itself. I don't waste my time scratching rocks trying to find diamonds. I don't want to follow a character since they learnt to walk, but at least make it compelling. Also, you are stepping into the gatekeeping territory bud.
I loved this anime, I like to equate it to a D&D adventure where the main characters are all level 15+ and fighting level 10-15 opponents. It's not until the ending where the villains realize they are woefully out classed and need to do something drastic to power level themselves.
There was this one part of the manga where Mel was absent for a while, and when he came back he started groping Elizabeth. To which she hugged him and said, "Grope away."
Funny thing is: most of the "flaws" you pointed out are actually points I really like about this show. I really enjoy Meliodas as a protagonist. I find his pervyness (only) towards Elizabeth (which makes story wise a lot of sense, but for that you have to read the manga) hilarious. And I love how stupidly OP he seems to be at first, like all the seven deadly sins. But this first season is just a scratch on the surface of the story and is in fact just the setup for the actual overarching narrativ. There is a lot awesomeness to come for future seasons, aswell as lot of bullshit, such as power levels for example. The charakters are really good written, too bad that one single season is not enough to explore it all.
Love All 3 anime’s as well. The hell is it with kids saying “watch real anime”, like who the fuck are you to say what anime is or isn’t? I bet their taste is shows isn’t for everyone as well.
Duh... this is the review week of awesome. He does it every year, and has posted quite a few videos about it now. Tomorrow will be the last review for this review week of awesome.
TMadara shinsekai yori has too small of a fan base to get in, Monster more than likely has the number one spot. Though I'm honestly surprised Seven Deadly Sins was the second highest vote.
You need to review these 4 anime for 4 vary different resins. Overlord - The only anime based on the concept of mmos that is good. (Beside Log Horizon) Heroman - The manga was written by Stan Lee (The guy from marval) He even appears in the show. Samurai Pizza Cats - It what it sounds like and it is just grate. Wakfu - These is a french cartoon that keeps getting labeled as an anime, so would be a good April Fools day ep.
Favorite character is definitely Ban. Not just because his design is very handsome but his personality, his strength and his heart. His love for Elaine, for his friend Meliodas, his nonchalant attitude when faced with death, he’s the main highlight for me for this show.
I kinda like how overpowered the sins are. It gives more backing to their titles and while they'll have to present them with a real challenge later to stay interesting it's nice to establish their strength.
the one shot chapter showed elisabeth with so much personality, and was completely destroyed by the editor possibly because that personality and fun attitude is completely gone by the time the first chapter of the serialised version kicked in . the edits were obviously forced and that pig-pub thing was a giant mechanical steampunk spider-pub... A GIANT MECHANICAL STEAMPUNK SPIDER PUB... what was so wrong about that they had to change it!?
if you've looked the general flow of the series thus far, there is no tech, only really magic. So having steampunk in there with it would require the flow of the show to change.
and that's exactly what i'd want. elizabeth to be as bubbly as she is in the oneshot and steampunk stuff for the by standers that usually do nothing whatsoever
Elizabeth is totally into Meliodas and got less nervous over his actions over time. It's implied that she doesn't quite 'get' what's wrong with whats happening- she was locked away and sheltered and got very little "education" and at first she was afraid to have him stop helping her. It's never quite explained that way in the manga or anime, but implied quietly. Subtext is actually one of the Seven Deadly Sins' strong points, surprisingly. In many ways, this season covered the "Prologue". I hope they make a season two, soon after where it ended here, both of your character complaints are answered. In many ways, Meliodas being OP was a driving force for things to coalesce, and establishes precisely how hard things are going to get.
What I really enjoyed about the Seven Deadly Sins was the group dynamic between them. Every single one of them is way overpowered compared to almost everyone else in the setting, but with the exception of Ban none of them really care about that. Instead, they each have more human goals. And in the middle of that, they all act like a real group. It feels similar to other really well-done groups in shonen settings, like the Phantom Troupe from Hunter x Hunter or the Straw Hats from One Piece.
Hououin Kyouma I loved monster, but it didn't hold me. first like 6ish episodes had me on the edge of my seat, 7 - 20 were great, and then when the action slowed down I lost interest. maybe I should finish it one day
probably my fav shounen anime. it has fast pacing, amazing ost and fights. i also liked it how the main protagonist doesnt need to train to get stronger.
BlackSteel KeyChain yes in a good way if you disliked it then you should stop reading the manga because it won't become enjoyable to you and you'll end up reading it just to hate in it
Rodney Paul I'm gonna continue to read it because I love some of the characters, just hate what nakaba has done with them as well as the overall story. However im hanging in there with the slightest hope that nakaba will get his act together and end it on a good or maybe even great note with solid character stories and arks fully played out. But if people can't see the blatant problems and bad habits Nakaba has recently gotten himself into then i dont know what to tell you cause they are defiantly there and are becoming more and more unignorable.
BlackSteel KeyChain Name some because I've been loving it the only problem I see are power level balances with the sins but they are in a training arc right now which in term fixes that of you watch a TH-camr named chibi reviews he explains each chapter quite throughly the meliodas death arc was beautiful and amazing the way it wasn't cliche with the tournament was good and the facts that he used subversion in a good way was splendid
Rodney Paul first most prominent is diane her entire character this ark ever since her second amnesia, it has served no real purpose that could've of been done with her memories intact (in fact I i could argue that it would've been better with her memories during some of the future events and would've actually helped her grow) instead it has done nothing but regress her character from a independent, knowledgeable, confidant battle harden warrior that contributes to and is proactive in discussions and events with other charcters that helps further the plot to a disty, oblivious, dependant, unintelligent, side character that only ever reacts (or should i say overreacts) to situations and is just dragged along and supported by other characters. Hell at this point she only serevs to progress kings romance ark, when was the last time she did anything for herself. All of which could've been avoided by the BS Anmeisa thing that was only used because nabaka didn't want to finish her romance plot with king too early. And that's just one problem I have another would be the introduction of power levels and his over reliance on one or two broken characters that are so OP they kill any and all tension and worry in the story. Ever since galan entered with 26,000 power it has turned into dbz again not in a good way. Escanaor and Mel at this point might as well be goku and vegeta were as any problem comes into play everyone just bacsilly says what dbz characters say wait Mel/goku and escanaor/vegeta to destroyed them without breaking a sweat. Everyone else has been demoted to either spectators or cheerleaders. Name the last time or any time in the near future where the holy knights Hauser, guila, gilthunder etc were actually important or useful. I like this story I really do it's just some plot discisons and choices that I can't stand or at the very least comprehend them, they make no sense and even hurt the story over all.
Without the fan service, and if Elizabeth was a better character, The Seven Deadly Sins would be so much better. But I love Ban as a character, I also love how it shows the Sins as more than just "horrible" people.
Love the new intros You have been doing for the review week... sooooo slick, really high level editing skills. That is one of the reasons I keep watching your videos, you only get better with time. Keep up the great work.
Meliodas is super OP, but the show makes it work. The intent here isn't to have a big bad villain that they all can't kill (Mostly), but to just enjoy the journey of Melodias and his crew.
There is a manga called "Ubel Blatt", that has a very similar premise (came out before 7DS), but with a much darker tone. I'm still hoping for an anime adaptation, but because the manga (probably) has mature rating it is highly unlikely. Then again we do have multiple anime adaptations of Berserk, so I'm still hoping.
So so much bad in this show that covers up the majority of its good. It's like someone was writing a really good show, but had to rush and submit it before its deadline.
Arkada, I noticed that you haven't been talking about the dubs for shows as of late. If possible, can you please start doing that again. If shows actually have a dub, of course.
The only big issue I had with this show was Elizabeth, she was so annoying and frankly came off as a mary sue to me. she's super powerful, everyone loves even the people jealous of her, she negates the threat of death and impact it has, and her personality is cute innocent princess.
I seriously hated how many times it looked like someone was going to die but they didn't. At least Baan has an excuse. Everyone else just sprout tons of blood
If you don't want to read this, just skip this comment. Spoilers: Gowther is a doll. Merlin has another name that humans can't pronounce. King and Diane went back in time as Dolor and Gloxnia (in the Holy War) Meliodas unlocks his powers by passing the "anger trial" and his level goes to 60k Hawk can transform at anything that he eats. (and since he has that ability he will transform into a Grey Demon) Elaine gets revived and dies again when Ban saves Meliodas Escanor beats one of the Ten Commandments (Nerobasta or something like that) Gowther is either a rival or an ally. Meliodas can't die until he's stabbed 7 times. Fraudrin killed Elizabeth (first Elizabeth).
I watched the first few episodes and couldn't get into it. Maybe it's because I've watched a ton of shonen, in particular Fairy Tail, that I felt like I've seen all of this done before and done better.
I mean like he said its a more condensed shonen that forgoes a lot of crap that for instance fairy tail has. Also there are a lot less pointless characters in 7deadly sins so thats a plus.
Loved that in almost every fight, I got the feeling that they actually fought with the intent to kill and there was no moral dilemma or moping about it like in akame ga kill. They are skilled soldiers who kill for a living. And the tone of the show at first was that, when the first kill happened I was pleasantly shocked. The first impression of the show was pg-13, minimum blood and only knock-outs, but people actually died in the show, it was awesome. almost a little madoka surprise to the show.
This is a show where I ended up loving, and after the finale credits of the 1st season ended, I went into tears. I loved the characters, the plot, the action, the stuff that makes an anime good. I know it has a couple faults with the show (as this lad pointed out) but it doesn't bother me. That's just my opinion.
SPOILER! Another fault is that no one in the good gang ever dies! That's unrealistic and annoying as hell. Not even the pig dies, no he comes back to life like a pheonix out of the ashes by some non existing reason you never get to know (and don't tell me it's elizabeths tears or something). I mean I'm all for heroes saving the day and winning the ultimate fight, but no victims what so ever? Not even princess Veronica, an otherwise useless character we never get to know and therefor can't sympathise with the least. Why should the writors make her live?
Hearing you talking about how Meliodas is doing all this crazy shit just because Elisabeth asked him to (and just because she resembles Liz) is kinda funny now :D
I hated this anime by the end of it. One Shonen cliche after another after another. It was bullshit! And I'm a massive One Piece fan (though in all fairness I grew up with it). That is just my point of view though.
I kept trying to get further in this show, but I just can't get past the main character committing serial sexual violence and it all being played off so casually with a not-so-subtle undertone of "It's okay she secretly likes it." It's an awful and totally played out form of "humor", and I wish shounens would just give it up already.
@@imaginemyshocko1455 I can tell you try to use "you're triggered line" only to try to make the other person sound less credible when it's simply you don't have a point lol Either way saying that she's his 3000 years old gf doesn't change the point the orginal comment was making.
@@nonameneeded2943 I fail to see the “credibility” you mention. Events such as these happen regularly in many anime and are never meant to be taken seriously. Those who do are most likely people who can’t go throughout a normal day without pointing out minor problems in other people’s lives. I would also say “sexual violence” is a wide stretch. Whoever compares sexual violence which is a serious problem to sexual humor is insulting to those who *have* experienced that.
I watched the whole of the sins, but it didn't quite do it for me. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Meliodas is so OP that you know he isn't ever going to lose. Most shonen at least have the main character lose a fight to show that they still have weaknesses or room for improvement. But not Meliodas. It's still good and I would probably watch another season when it comes out, but I wouldn't use it to introduce someone to anime or shonen. The fan service honestly got on my nerves.
I rely very heavily on your opinions about animes. Mainly because you're right (most of the time) or maybe it's just that our taste and likes are ,in must cases, very similar. I particularly enjoy the fact that unlike the majority of TH-camRS the reviews you give are critical and not simply rants.
***** Some lines especially near the end of the show it got pretty corny. Also after the tournament arc the pacing got very fast. Also I read up they skipped a lot of the manga to adapts up to 100 chapters. I'm not saying the show is bad. I gave it a 7.
***** Let me pull up my MAL... Naurto 3(I think for shippdeun I gave it a 2.). FT never seen it OP 10 World Trigger never seen it Hunter x Hunter Easily 10 but I am currently watching the Toonami airing. I don't think that score will change though. 7DS 7 FMA 9(I need to really to watch Brotherhood) Boku No Hero Acaedmia 9 I think 7DS is just a solid series. It doesn't suck. It's miles better than Naruto.
Finally i have been waiting for a Review of "The Seven Deadly Sins" ever since i saw it! i'm gonna recommend the show for people that have not watched it yet!
I'm a bit older. DBZ was not my first anime. And for a good while I just stopped being interested in anime. But now, I know there's a large selection of anime to watch... more than I can really filter through. Admittedly, that's my own fault for dropping anime like a hundred pound weight that just didn't want anymore. So, I've been looking around the Tube for... Anime. Anime lists, anime favorites, anime genres, anime reviews. And I'm glad I found yours. Out of the videos I've been looking through over the past two weeks, yours is the one that I've found to be the most informative. Most are just vague lists that gather 5-10 genre specific anime. Others are reviews but... they lack a bit of professionalism. People sitting in front of their computer after having just watched an episode of their favorite anime and blurting praise or criticism. You, however, clearly approach your reviews over time. I'm guessing that you write a script, edit the script, revise the script, ball up the script in frustration, write a new script and then finally record some footage. Then you probably cut half of that footage. This review has made me subscribe. I'll look at a few videos over time and I'm confident I'll be able to find animes that I can enjoy. I'm confident in that because of the information you gave in this review. And the information you didn't. I don't think I heard you say the word "spoiler" even once. Probably because you contemplate the review before writing or recording. So you plan from the beginning not to include major spoilers. That's good. But the information you gave me was even better. You told me how short the series is, you readily admitted the shows tropes even after stating your enjoyment of it. You're honest about what the show does well, what it doesn't do well, what you like about it and what others might not like about it. I'm rambling at this point. Great Review. Subscribed. 🍺😆

I'm glad I'm not the only person that finds Meliodas annoying. I could never finish this series because his pervy behavior often goes without punishment.
Josh Sinclair His background isn’t really revealed until much later so you should check out season 2.
I need that season 2 so everyone can praise the sun!
G_Spark233 praise the mother fucking sun
G_Spark233 I just need the second season for " Who decided that" moment.
G_Spark233 HAHA YES! ANIME ONLYS ARENT READY FOR THE POWER OF PRIDE
Escandor is the greatest thing this series ever did
you mean the most overpowered character in nntz?
hell escanor in a certain setting can probably beat ban and meliodas
I thought this show was kind of middle of the road. Not bad by any means; just not particularly great, either. Also, yeah, Elizabeth does seem to rather enjoy getting groped, which is kind of weird.
Yeah, I found it to be good, but not great. And kinda the low end of good. But still good. I mean, I did watch the whole thing and did so over the course of like a week, so it was doing something right.
b1merio I think it's a nice change up from the classic grope to uppercut combo that is in EVERY OTHER anime
The Baws Cause that's the fucking normal reaction. No girl wants to be groped without consent. Unless she wants to bang too. But Elizabeth doesn't even want that. She's just indifferent.
Not everyone loves getting molested, but at least he asks permission first
Says Meliodas is too nonchalant but it’s explained that that’s a facade in the second season and on
I agree with the harassment thing. So unnecessary!
Lancelot Knight Toriyama does it and he's a genius
Lots of anime have pervert characters who harass the women in their vicinity, but theyrarely do it like 7DS does it.
i liked his harassment personally just because there wasn't the cliched response of unnecessary violence or ear piercing screeching. plus miliodas as a character was super likable from the beginning so that helped
Yes
I watched the first episode and hated how many times Elizabeth got saved by Meliondas
thanks for covering this show. I was afraid that I was the only one who actually likes it.
Cody Wahl nah
Are you kidding? This is awsome!
same! This was the one show I voted for, cause I love it.
Cody Wahl ikr!! It gets a lot of hate but personally I think it's pretty good, and the manga is too. Is has its flaws, but so does other anime.
Oh trust me you are not the only person who likes this series. While I couldn't get into it (I do plan on giving it another chance) everyone I know praise the shit out of the seven deadly sins.
99% of comments “meliodas is to op” wait till season 2
ESCANORRRR
Hehehe
Season 3 actually, season 2 is only 4 episodes long
"If you are still watching one piece". Yeah, that statement will probably be true for the rest of my life.
Meliodas overpowered? HAHAHAHHAHAHA .... you have no idea
Manga says otherwise ._.
"Ladies, Gentlemen, & Others.."......can somebody explain what the others mean? I'm actually wondering lol
ZeoStorm Well, some countries do legally allow someone to have more than two genders. Like India for one. Or it just sounds cool.
Bee (Quite The Novel Idea) which is fucking stupid
Yeah, I never understood that either.
I watched it with my cat
Attack helicopters
A demon who has raised a girl from her infancy, when she grows up,the demon molests her everytime he can..Most accurate description of Meliodas
DeEpicAnimeFan turns out that she is a goddess reincarnate and his multiple times ex wife

I can't stand Elizabeth I just don't get why people like her so much.
Most likely because of the events that occur after the anime.
Yess she plays a big role in the manga
I didn't read manga so I don't know if her character is good but in the anime her character is just awful. But Liz's character is good.
Karelom Coomish
Same person
Hey, but Kikyo and Kagome are the same person and let's be honest here Kagoma is a lot better than Kikyo. But what I'm trying to say here is that Elizabeth's character is really bad just like how Kikyo's character is really bad, if that makes sense to you.
"If you're like me and don't care about the manga..."
I mean, I haven't read the Soul Eater manga, but I still think that it's anime ending is terrible.
Same
Great damn show, shitty ending unfortunately yes
Yeah... The show was great... Until they decided to pull off the ending of the show... And then you read the manga, and it's completely different...
As someone who as read up yo volume 20 of the manga but has not seen the anime, its a good manga
Meliodas got revived
I found that first episode to be a pretty big turn-off.
PLEASE! Let Friday's review be Avatar The Last Airbender!!!!
Oh I'd love to hear Arkada talk about it!
Hahaha yeah it would, but it's an awesome show indeed. Wonder how Arkada feels about doing it.
ChocoKaylaRobin But avatar is not an anime!! At this rate why don't he review Gumball World, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Totally Spies, Action Man ATOM...etc
NOT AN ANIME

I only just finished the anime. I've been reading the manga, and some of the things you didn't care for is explained or changed. It is a great show, and loved the review!
and what i mean is later in the manga after this first ark. because this is one of the best manga to anime adaptations I have ever seen
@@Jindomess season 2 is out now and season 3 is coming soon
I didnt expect the 7 deadly sins to be here, really unexpected but whathever. Funny thing is that most of this review's points aplies not only to the anime but also to the manga until the present day, if anything it gets much worse later.
How? I'm 20 or so chapters behind but a good chunk of the manga is absolutely great.
when i said worse i didnt mean the manga in general, just the problems that he pointed out in the video, the manga is good overall
Wait. Did Naruto not actually end? Fuck, I thought the beast finally died.....
It's main story ended I think, but it's just going on with filler now
The Main source material ending
The main source material is the manga. Just ended 2 years ago
Plague never dies, only evolves. ;_;
Naruto is not over yet.. They still have to make the last chapter from the manga! Until then a lot of Hidden Novals are coming out like Sasuke,, Shikamaru etc.
Luffy and goku aren't serious, I mean they have a serious side but 90% of the time there upbeat and optimistic
ANIMEBEAST27 But meliodas shows WAY more emotion that isn't just anger have you read the manga
I consider ippo more a sports anime than a shounen. haha but yeah man ichigio is super serious lol this man like never smiles
Don't forget about Natsu tho
The Pain and the Pleasure all come together, There is no reason why!
All of the characters aside from Elizabeth were enjoyable. Elizabeth did literally nothing but cry and have big breasts.
having big breasts is not a action.
also she motivated meliodas to do something which led the sins getting together and saved everyones lives.
but sure nothing.
Akemi Homura ...exactly....she does nothing...congrats on figuring out the joke.
Akemi Homura also, Lmfao. if you're going to argue that having a conversation counts as an action then that means literally no character in any show is ever useless, which is completely false. At least you tried though.
DrInsanity987 some people like that sh*t.
DrInsanity987 Yeah but I read a bit of the manga and I think she might actually become useful.
the fact the characters started overpowered is what I actually liked..
Being already OP is actually worse
@@manuelcampi8956
That's your oppinion. I agree with OC that cliche training and power build up is getting boring.
@@manuelcampi8956
>A shounen without any kind of growth
Theres growth both character wise and power wise.
It's not until the ending where the villains realize they are woefully out classed and need to do something drastic to power level themselves.
so i guess it would be a good time to let everyone know that Elizebeth was the pervert in the manga and Meliodus was having none of it.
I sorta feel like that's not true....... But I don't know.....
look it up. i was shocked to
Are you talking about the one shot?
There was this one part of the manga where Mel was absent for a while, and when he came back he started groping Elizabeth. To which she hugged him and said, "Grope away."
Oh yea. But she didn't mean it in that way it just came out wrong. Mel's reaction was kinda cute though. :3
The charakters are really good written, too bad that one single season is not enough to explore it all.
fullmetal alchemist, soul eater and seven deadly sins are probably my three favorite shounen anime :)
You need to watch REAL animes.
tripleaccion33 fmab is one of the greatest animes of all time have not seen soul eater but fmab Is definitely a "real anime".
tripleaccion33 FMAB and Soul eater are REAL anime you pleb. Mature does not equal real, good direction and plot does.

Love All 3 anime’s as well. The hell is it with kids saying “watch real anime”, like who the fuck are you to say what anime is or isn’t? I bet their taste is shows isn’t for everyone as well.
Personally I love how OP the Sins are
You've been pumping out so many anime reviews the past few days. Well done, Arkada :)

Yeah he's actually making videos again !
Well shit, no Shinsekai yori and Monster?
Theres still tomorrow, which is the final day, but one of them will be left out, maybe both.
Let's be real. Neither of them is getting reviewed.
TMadara shinsekai yori has too small of a fan base to get in, Monster more than likely has the number one spot.
Though I'm honestly surprised Seven Deadly Sins was the second highest vote.
scorpion3128 get fucked boi
You need to review these 4 anime for 4 vary different resins.
Overlord - The only anime based on the concept of mmos that is good. (Beside Log Horizon)
Heroman - The manga was written by Stan Lee (The guy from marval) He even appears in the show.
He was the sole reason I kept watching this series. Everyone else couldn't keep me interested.
While the Steampunk spider bar is awesome, it would've conflicted with the whole medieval setting.
Nope i disagree. it would just make the setting more unique
if you've looked the general flow of the series thus far, there is no tech, only really magic. So having steampunk in there with it would require the flow of the show to change.
and that's exactly what i'd want. elizabeth to be as bubbly as she is in the oneshot and steampunk stuff for the by standers that usually do nothing whatsoever
MrAwesome45
at that point you might as well just watch Avatar the last Airbender.
The Anime ending on Soul Eater was a crime.
A lot of ur problems get solved in the manga. I know u don't read manga. So ull probably get to see it in the second season. It's a great shounen.
Am I the only one that liked the first opening more than the second? I mean I think the animation and music was better and just liked it more
So did I
Elizabeth is totally into Meliodas and got less nervous over his actions over time.
In the manga power levels are a thing so power ups for most character happen pretty often, even hawk, so I don't see Meliodas being op a problem.
This beat Monster?
Monster had 74 episodes.
Hououin Kyouma I loved monster, but it didn't hold me.
first like 6ish episodes had me on the edge of my seat, 7 - 20 were great, and then when the action slowed down I lost interest. maybe I should finish it one day
Hououin Kyouma my friend fking cries when someone talks about johann and im like: HES NOT EVEN DEAD
i'm ur friend
Perhaps Monster is the friday review?
probably my fav shounen anime. it has fast pacing, amazing ost and fights. i also liked it how the main protagonist doesnt need to train to get stronger.
Tom Smith lol. even when the ten commandments came. everyone has to train, but for meliodas just give him his power back.
Helloooooooo, Merlin, Gowther and PRAISE THE MOTHERFUCKING SUN ESCANOR.
Well actually meliodas is one of the most sad characters. he just hides his emotions
I wanna see his reaction to season 2 and then when the other seasons come out them too especially.
Seeing Diana standing with the thumbnail is always odd because that girl's big.
DarylGreen OathkeeperRoxas99 isnt it diane?
Read the manga it gets FUCKING CRAZY in later arcs
Rodney Paul yeah except not in a good way
BlackSteel KeyChain yes in a good way if you disliked it then you should stop reading the manga because it won't become enjoyable to you and you'll end up reading it just to hate in it
Rodney Paul I'm gonna continue to read it because I love some of the characters, just hate what nakaba has done with them as well as the overall story.
Just finished it.
Honestly I could do without a Deus Ex Machina.
I absolutely love The Seven Deadly Sins. I'm actually thinking about watching it again. It's just so much fun and badass at the same time
Nice way to blast the intro music D:
Season 2 made this series better. I'm excited to see it go further.
I hope you read the manga, it has a lot more depth and its way better imo.
Hell yeah! One of my favorites right here, didnt think it made the cut. can't wait for your thoughts.
Also, this anime did have a vocal song, named perfect time.
The only big issue I had with this show was Elizabeth, she was so annoying and frankly came off as a mary sue to me. she's super powerful, everyone loves even the people jealous of her, she negates the threat of death and impact it has, and her personality is cute innocent princess.
Blackestfang Are you referring to the manga?

The action scenes are definitely one of the best parts of the show
I watched the first few episodes and couldn't get into it.
The seven deadly sins is done way better than fairy tail...But Hxh stomps on them both unequivocally
RagingPheonix
I agree about HxH. It is a masterpiece, and definitely the best anime I've seen, but at the same time its not my favorite.
This anime was okay but it was ruined for me when the character was 100% mary sue.
lol that code geass reference at 2:36 had me dying... XD
Same bro
Tell that to escanor
Amazing job Zarkada these past few days.KEEP UP THE GR8 WORK
Hearing you talking about how Meliodas is doing all this crazy shit just because Elisabeth asked him to (and just because she resembles Liz) is kinda funny now :D
Kinda ridiculous you'd recommend to buy this anime, but only stream Durarara. Oh well, personal tastes do differ :)
Remember, that was only Durarara season 1.

There is only six deadly sins, Lust isn't a sin.
Yeah but Meliodas is one of those rare left handed protagonists so I don't care how OP he is :)

I like it. It wasn't a great show. It does have some great characters though.
Nah, i'd call it a great show
***** Not me. Besides of the issues Glass brought up. I also felt the show is really chessy and has some pacing issues.
Maurice Fleshman What do you mean by "cheesy"? Pacing issues, personally, I don't see. Maybe once in a while, but it's not too big a problem\
FT never seen it
OP 10
World Trigger never seen it
Hunter x Hunter Easily 10 but I am currently watching the Toonami airing. I don't think that score will change though.
7DS 7
FMA 9(I need to really to watch Brotherhood)
Boku No Hero Acaedmia 9
I think 7DS is just a solid series. It doesn't suck. It's miles better than Naruto.
Finally i have been waiting for a Review of "The Seven Deadly Sins" ever since i saw it! i'm gonna recommend the show for people that have not watched it yet!
I really appreciate you're doing those reviews! They help a lot :D

Like they said don't talk bad about the show until Season 2! Elizabeth is more than a fan service character!
