    Thanks for the tips..always happy for tips..I must have done 13 or 14 over the years..,,It helped very much to pull me out of depression..I listened to positive Vibe type music while painting..It really was therapeutic!..I may have spent 50 plus hours upon 1st starting,then got it down to 20 plus hours,depending on the complexity of the painting...I tended to write on the back of the canvas how many hours it took me....But not all in one stint ..Over a few weeks even....Best wishes to all you PBN fans..Best wishes form the U.K.

    When I do the paint by number I pick one number and I paint just that number for one day. So let’s say I pick a three I will paint all the threes in and not move onto another color until that three has dried and it is to my liking.

      What do you do to blend your edges for smooth transition etc like a normal painting .
      I get paint by numbers for the pic
      I use my own paint that’s close to the colors. But I use the pic as a guide line for my painting. Blending . Etc

    ??”add water to your paints, that will make them look more professional” noooooo! That’s terrible advice! Use an acrylic medium, that’s what pros do, not water, which actually breaks down the molecular structure of acrylic paint. If theres not enough paint for the whole project included, than perhaps the company needs to provide more paint?!

      exactly, I was using thick layers and still have extra paint.

      Yep truly not recommend add water to paints esp if it’s acrylic paint. It just breaks the true color and less vibrant-y

      What is acrylic medium? I’m a brand newbie to this. Would I buy that at an art supply store or on Amazon? Suggestions welcome. 🙏🏼

    • @rickpawl
      @rickpawl 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@RecoveryRose There is a product called Liquitex Professional Flow Aid additive and it is made for acrylic paint. If the paint is too thick, a drop or two of the flow aid will make it smoother and creamier without diluting it like water does.

    • @carinalindberg7377

      Not true at all. All acrylic painters use water when they paint. Mediums will thin the paint, but keep the colour solid, while water will thin the paint and the colour.

    Problem I run into is the colors that are just single numbers like a tan for instance the paint color is no where close to the picture sample of what it should look like when finished so do I just go ahead and paint it on anyways and it will look ok or do I go ahead and mix it and try to get as close as possible I got a fence on my painting it shows ran in very top corner the dark brown literally right under it and doesn't say to mix the color.and on painting sample it's all one single shade of tan not like what the number call ilouts say not even close

    I started painting 3 days ago (about 30% done so far) and Loving it. However I have started hurting in my neck and back at places I didn't even know existed before. It got so painful yesterday I had to put the project down. Any advise on how to do the painting so it doesn't get painful? I am doing it at my dining table maybe that can be the issue? Not having proper painting set up. Please advice. Thank you!

      if you look down, perhaps have regular breaks or prop the painting higher/at an angle so your neck is not crooked. Just move in between sections and relax often.
