I'm 34 years old about to turn 35 in a month. This is my favourite game. When I first played at 17 I beat it 17 times to match my age. I now start a new run each Halloween and it must end before my birthday on June 11th. I ended my 34th run in November 2019...Here's to 2020's run :)
That's a pretty cool tradition, it makes me want to start that with my favorite of the games, "Operation Raccoon City". I'm turning 32 at the end of this month (the 31st of March) so definitely going to try and beat it 32 times by the end of this month. Good luck with this next run.
This track makes you feel relaxed for the first 35 seconds, then it becomes a track of anxiety. Still it's a good thing that in the area of this track there aren't zombies
One of the best songs in the entire series. It really makes you feel uncomfortable. Ratcheting up the tension before stopping suddenly and then starting back up. It’s brilliant.
The best song in REmake. I remember when I first took the ladder down to the Aqua Ring I froze. Because of how different it was, and how awesome this track was.
I also liked Richard. A sadly almost completely forgotten hero, like the rest of Bravo team, in including Rebecca as you see very little of her in series as it progressed. I liked Rebecca in RE0 Love to see those two games remade.
@@milowileman1400 As many said before, RE0 should have been about Enrico, not Rebecca. All of 0 just clashes with her depiction in the rest of the series. Where as Enrico would have made for a great vessel to explore the mansion with, prior to Alpha Team.
He dies to yawn, he dies to neptune, he dies to yawn (again) outside the cutscenes if you abandon him, or he dies to poison. No matter what, his fate is sealed…
I remember the first time I went to this area, I saw the long hallway with the crates you have to put to float in the water, I was like "Meh same thing as DC version on PS1. Then when I open the double doors and see a very large open area with large great whites swimming and im trying to get to higher ground I noticed a very large dark gray shark swimming below me, and to add to the tension the character ran slow in the water up to their torso and if you got bit and blood was on the water then that Neptune theme kicked in. I honestly was mashing the controller trying to get out of the deeper part of the water or else I would get eaten by the Neptune himself. This game was memories indeed, I might have to play this game again on my Wii.
The part, where sharks chased you, was in original version (PS1, DS) too. But you could easily drain water by pressing single lever in control room. In remake is control room enhanced and draining water in that room is remade into new puzzle.
I love this track, it's probably my favorite, it's sounds so friendly and calm at start, but it slowly turns into something really dark and frightening
Every aquarium I've ever visited since playing this game... it doesn't matter what they have playing in the background. All I hear is this... and the sense of unease, the shifting shadows in the water of the entrance to the Aqua Ring, and knowing (or rather not knowing) what's lurking beneath the murky surface ahead...
Absolutely love this track, it encompasses a new area filled with mystery and also whatever that instrument is really makes it feel like you are close to water.
This track for the Aquaring was very simple, but very creepy. Listening to this while wading through the water of the flooded research center always gave me the chills. Thanks for uploading this.
I just came back listening to Resident Evil 2's Remake version of the RE2 safe room theme and was disappointed. Not because of Nostalgia (only played RE2 a week ago for the first time in my life and had a blast), but because the original tune was lost "in translation" (ambient sounds). only 2-3 tunes remain, but it is very distant of the original theme. Neptune Tank really shows what a good remade theme has to sound like. The original melody is here, but more refined. Slower, more thoughtful and self conscious. Adapted to new generations. Man. This theme is the embodiment of a good Remake.

If you don't want the drill to eat you up, you're gonna need the imitation key to replace the armor key. To get the imitation key, you need to blow the dog whistle and kill the cerberus with the collar. Inside is a coin that is, when examined, becomes a fake armor key. You must blow the whistle right outside, on the balcony, by the drug room. The whistle is located on a small table in the last room, of the U shaped corridor by the mansion E. stairs. Hope that helps.

I've been playing RE since the Playstation days, and I think the Gamecube remake of the first game is and forever will be the only one to capture and perfect the Resident Evil feeling. It's aged well. :)
That scene just before you're going to open the door to the aqua ring was beautiful. The lighting, your character stepping into knee-high water (sloiwng their movement speed), this eerie track -- all in service to setting up the incoming danger in the next room. I fucking love this remake.
Man, this song is awesome. I played the first Resident Evil to death (ha!) and when the remake came out, I fell in love all over again. This song really makes you feel how alone you are.
The sensation of the first time you get off of the stairs behind the library and you are in a portion of laboratory, an huge circular structure with two giant sharks.
I remember my first time with the original and thought oh man what's gonna pop up next. Then this remake came out n I gripped my controller tighter than before sayin oh sh#% I'm on danger. Limping down the hall knowing imminent danger was around the corner...damn Neptune killed me XD
Good memories of playing this on GameCube back in the day early 2000s and I first heard this......this basically fits with water so well it's so calming to listen to!!!!!! Resident evil 0 and 1 remake are still the best Nintendo brought them back in hd done right!!!!! When I get another OLED I'll be reinstalling these two again perfect for summer to play on and code Veronica is great for a gloomy day cause of it's atmosphere remake zero remake and code Veronica x always stood with me the most!!!!!! Wasn't this heard in the room adjacent to the actual Neptune tank? I believe the room with the tall ladder that is parallel to the hallway containing the wooden boxes that made a bridge to the tank entrance.
After watching George Weidman (Super Bunnyhop)'s review of Remake and after buying and really getting into this game I was really looking forward to experiencing the horrors of this area, especially because I have a slight fear of depth. When i finally entered the initial hallway in the aqua ring and this music kicked in, I got some serious chills in anticipation of going up against the Mother Neptune. I was killed twice by the smaller sharks before completing the entire area. Mother Neptune never attacked me.
+Jakihro That's because Mother Neptune attacks you if you take too long. Kind of like an invisible timer. If she attacks you, You instantly die. So be quick.

i love the original game (remake included) becasue of the story and the fact that you went through this mansion where lab techies lived and lept and you really feel it, especially in the remake. and then you go to the lab and its just such a cool story. :D im so glad this game was created.

I perfer this version over the original PS1. now this a track is remake of the track 'The Guardhouse Basement" . Capcom also remixed that track its called "Flooded Corridor". you wont recognize it at first because It has an extended intro.

The mansion is the worst part for me, even if it is wonderfully atmospheric and spooky. All the annoying backtracking and revisiting areas to open one thing got old fast. The boxes were pretty pointless though.

Scariest section of the game for me. I hate sharks. the pressure bulkhead sequence is especially stressful.
