Hi Sue, I am looking at buying the SDX1000 Scan n Cut. Have you tried cutting vinyl with this machine yet and if so, what blade do you use? I have read that there is a vinyl automatic blade.
I haven't cut vinyl with the SDX1000 as yet however the black blade will happily cut vinyl on ALL SDX models. Remember to use the Half Cut. th-cam.com/video/kTxvIrRVro4/w-d-xo.html
The information I have is that it will cut 12x24" however only scans 12x12". This is fairly typical of the low to mid range models. I don't think a 12x24" scanning mat will read correctly as the machine knows the mat sizes by their registration marks.
