Parmegiani is definitely one of the greatest masters of his art. I am struck by his imaginative innovations, the stunning stereo effects, and the clean quality of this work that had to be manufactured by tape editing - no computers! The reverberations had to be made by playing the signals through loudspeakers in a large empty bare walled room, and picked up from distantly placed microphones. Echoes were made using a tape that passed through a whole set of variably placed playback heads!
Michael Berridge could also be plate reverb. EMT.
Fiona Apple seems to have struck upon organic sounds now with Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Just a brazilian stunning one knowing it :0
Bernard Parmegiani's gone. Thank him for his works which will remain forever.
I simply cannot believe this unique work was composed almost fifty years ago. Still fresh, and probably ever fresh!
Agreed. Who has this courage nowadays??
I was referring to musicians & composers, not an arrogant idiot pretending to be a politician.
@@Ghoopty Just the sort of man we need to cure the disease of politics.
Thanks a lot to you The WellesTheatre for sharing this. I heard a bit on Lyric fm Bernard Clarkes Nova show last night 6-1-2013 8-10pm and of course had to hear more more more.
a true masterpiece. love his use of the train
your last thought makes me wonder if you really understand the deeper intentions of the composer..
che bello… wow!
The ring mod sounds at 12:25... bliss
Excellent!!Just Excellent!!
I love biking to this!
Great!
The last part of this piece is Pretty Good.
One of the best
Even ahead of today !
YES!
- so, what instrument do you play?
Me: ... I play the fucking train. Yes, the train... With a laser gun...
super _ j'adore
Absolute masterpiece 🙏
verry exiting
Brilliant
I LOVE ! 💚
Native Instruments try to replicate some of the synth patches being used here...from 1970!
That chord at 6:09 remind me of the sacrificial dance near the end of Stravinskys 'le sacre'. Lol had to chuckle at that.
*Star Wars* & video game-like sounds BEFORE *Star Wars* & video games...

Q. Who has this kind of courage nowadays?
A. Geir Jenssen
@Boris Sitnikoff Where can one hear said courage in audible form?

The Small Faces - Ogdens Nut Flake 2:54 ?
"Can" sample @2:56 ?!
I think it's "Ogdens Nut Flake" by The Small Faces
Disturbing, uncompromising and ahead of its time.
Thanks, Kanye West!
