I had a 4x4 F250 driver do exactly what happened in the first clip. I was quite upset because it threw stones at my car, and he could've simply passed me on the left as there was no traffic coming.

Nocturnal West Coast with lights looks fantastic. Very nice last scene with the traffic stopping (it's kinda hard to create a natural behaviour with ai cars stopping down and drive slowly. Great job on that).

Dude agreed. I have it on steam on my pc but I barely play it because I'm a console gamer and the comps in another room etc... imagine this on current generation consoles 😍👌

Traffic/AI cars in BeamNG will use their horn if traffic is enabled. Not trying to downplay the work of the video creator, but the AI/Traffic vehicles that aren't being controlled by you will liberally use their horn if they deem it fit. So it is a nice touch but it's not the work of the video creator.

your attention to detail is amazing... the drivers pulling to the sides, putting on their flashers, the tesla collision avoidance noise, drivers in the left lane going faster than other lanes, the police lights and sirens. I feel like you've definitely watched tons of car crash compilations before
The cement truck getting caught in the rock slide is very tragic.
I don't think the cement truck driver is going to make it. His passenger didn't stand a chance though.

Third clip grinds my gears because it is such a common occurance... not how it plays out but that one person using the right lane to pass everyone and then acts like a victim when a merge occurs -_-

Was looking for this comment. Exactly. The car merged at highway speed ahead of the driver, which is what is supposed to happen.
yup the average person driving in that lane is usually cautious and driving a bit under, over or at the speed limit, but speed demons see it as an opportunity to release their imaginary power and get angry when things dont go their way.
That being said, the wreck is 100% the merging vehicle's fault. Even if they merged safely, they were in the wrong by escalating the situation by trying to prevent the honker from passing. They should have just let the honker be all pissy with their merging and let them go on around. Instead, they made it worse by slowing down and trying to stay in front of the one that honked.
Its absolutely insane how far this game has come.

@@aletron4750 Maybe if you're running it on a potato. BeamNG runs at 4k 120 FPS easy on my system... GTA 6 detailed textures might push that down to a very playable 70fps.

Of course it's an Altima... What else could start the freeway crashes compilation? Funny thing is, although we don't even get Altimas in Europe, this was my very first thought before reading the comments. Their reputation certainly precedes them!
As someone who has been in a car accident (no one else involved) and driven two cars without brakes; some of these wreks are terrifying.

The only unrealistic thing is that there are no airbags and some glitching from time to time. Otherwise the level of detail is scary. I wish GTA 6 will provide an experience close to this level of realism

Add these mechanics to GTA 6 that would stop all the players from driving around with no care in the world.
One thing I think they should add is making some of the cars heavier because some cars just get it and they just start barrel rolling a lot more than what they should
Be aware that a lot of foreign cars are light as a feather, so to speak. There are videos of them rolling over just hitting a curb wrong.

That’s a bottleneck at the games end, it’s designed to run physics > graphics. They are working on improving it though over time. Combining the two right now is nearly impossible and would be unplayable on most systems. This way allows for a realistic and stable frame rate which I don’t doubt is still an issue when filming these. I bet it still takes several takes
@@spray_cheese Exactly. And BeamNG doesn't exactly have a development team like Rockstar games or Ubisoft or something. They're still a relatively small, albeit strong and motivated, team of developers. They actually just released an update yesterday, and they're always making improvements to not only the physics engine but also the graphics occasionally. But yeah, priority is physics.

Nope the merging car is responsible it's not ones job to move over
@@truckercowboyed2638 The honking individual had enough time to see the merger moving into their lane. Also, that on ramp/merge lane isn't one that allows for merging traffic to travel a safe distance to give them enough time to make sure it's fully clear before their merge. Therefore, it is on the interstate traffic to allow merging traffic to merge safely.
The vehicle merged safely with more than enough space for the one honking to avoid any collision. The merger even merged while keeping reasonable speed and it wasn't like they cut in and cut the one honking off at the last second. There was no reason for the cammer to honk and flash their high beams at the vehicle merging. That being said, the vehicle merging is still at fault here because they decided to more or less brake check the vehicle honking at them and try to prevent them from passing.
Even if you do everything right, other idiot motorists are still going to honk at you like you are in the wrong. In that instance, just let them be pissy and go around you. Don't try to slow down and block them from passing just because they honked at you. Because in the end...you will be at fault for any accidents occuring.

Will you subscribe to my channel?
You run traffic and use ALT+R to start recording a replay. You can record the simulation and move your camera around in the playback of the recording. I use this tool a lot for edits, as I can assign a ton of cars to follow normal paths while I operate another vehicle. From there it's really just about moving the camera into the perspective of one of the AI drivers, giving it the appearance that you're driving one car when in reality you're controlling another. If you don't use BeamNG often I don't think you'll understand what I'm talking about, as some of the most concurrent BeamNG players still don't know about this great tool. But it's very useful.
