As a Christian, if someone chooses to leave Christianity we don’t persecute them. If someone leaves Islam, they are going to be punished severely. I genuinely believe the “angel” that tells Muhammad the Quran was the devil. A religion that harms its own followers does not come naturally.

I'm a non-muslim living in Malaysia. And what you're describing is on point. I had several muslim collegues who would once in a while ask us, the non-muslims collegues to help them buy some food during the fasting month at lunch.
We the non-muslim collegues ourselves aren't religious people, so no problem.

    • @ImCarolB

I used to live in Malaysia and a doctor friend told us about the sharp rise in hospital visits from the Muslims, not other groups. Going without water, especially in hot countries, is idiotic and dangerous. There were many people coming in with dehydration and fainting, painful ulcers and imagined heart attacks (severe indigestion) because they gorged on lots of spicy food after sundown. It's a pointless "fast", basically skipping lunch and eating too much before bed.

    • @GoodMorning-b2w
      @GoodMorning-b2w 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@ImCarolB it depends on what they eat. my parents has learnt from their parents to opt for sweet and light foods instead of salty for suhoor(the meal before sunrise). we usually eat milk rice or something like that. we eat desserts if you will. and we drink lots of water along with that meal.
i think it might not be healthy, but i personally drink about 400 ml just in the short span of one hour or half an hour before sunrise. but that gets me through the day without hunger, fatigue or thirst. and ofc i make sure that i take my daily water intake starting from the breakfast time.
but i think what mostly helped me is that i eat sugary food before sunrise. for it gives energy. i hear my classmates talk about eating salty food for suhoor. and those ones also act lazily through the school day. so it might be why they are struggling. but then one school day i heard a teacher discuss -after the lesson ended - that she eats banana(which contains sugar) along with other fruits for suhoor, and apparently it's a tradition because other students said when they eat that, they feel best during the day.
so, it's possible to not suffer from dehydration or faint if someone ate something better for suhoor.
and ironically, when i learnt about fasting in islamic education classes, we were taught that fasting is actually beneficial and it's actually good for the heart and many other things.
but it all comes down to a person's diet, it seems.

What I know about Ramadan in general & Ramadan 2024 is this:- Before Sun Up Muslims eat a very substantial meal & drink; then consume nothing at during the daylight hours. But just after Sundown consume another substantial meal & drink. This year's Ramadan was 29 days duration. So, it ended on the 30th. day with a Feast. Therefore, in 30 days they had 59 Feasts.
Can you imagine a Westerner in December, having 59 Christmas dinners, with all the trimmings, drinks, confectionary, etc.? Regardless of any Fasting phase.
Going to be interesting in 2030, as there are 2 Ramadans, (possibly 1 in very late 2029 & the 2nd. early in 2030).
How are they going to manage above the Arctic circle, where one gets daylight 24 hours a day for 6 months of the year? Oh, I see a "special dispensation' will be decreed. But isn't that changing the words of Mohammed? Isn't that punishable by Death. The mullahs just make it up as they go. A bit like Mohammed, really.
Utmost respect to the men & women who have seen through this perverted, Fascistic Political Ideology, with the tag of God/Allah attached to it, to make it appear as a Religion.

That "it makes you feel with poor people" is nonsense. After all the poor cannot feast every night after sunset. The Christian way of fasting, eating little and no meat, sometimes no animal products over the whole fasting period but at regular meal times makes a lot more sense in that respect. One of the few things that actually make some sense in Christianity. Otherwise not a fan of that religion either. Better than Islam, sure. But that's not hard.

I'm sorry you had such a terrible month.
Technically, you can go 3 days without water, but it's probably dangerous to not drink water if it's hot.
We Jews have 25-hour fasts where we also have to refrain from eating and drinking. But, there are exceptions for people with health issues, people who need to take medications, & clergy who lead prayers. It's hot where I live, so I always drank water on fasts, even before I started taking meds. Are there no exceptions for Ramadan?

rant: some Muslim cant 're'shallow their saliva as well.
depends on how one interprets the texts, if you can drink or not under medical conditions (which is right? one gets more rewards cause they happen to be in that type of teaching?)
i know about many Muslims eat in secret, i think most do but don't tell each other, so its a cyclic logic (that is outside of Muslim countries)
outside of their countries means outside of holy laws, thus why they need to be under their laws in other countries, so it can return to holy traditions properly (most times an Imam is enough for a temporary fix) Ofcourse depends on teachings- one might fully understand this if Jewish as well

Yes, Judaism has multiple teachings. I am pretty sure there isn't one which says you have to be miserable or skip medications. The purpose of the fasts is to reflect on certain things, like if you have done anything bad in the past year or how Eqyptian firstborn kids got killed. So, you have to be in a condition where you can do that and possibly pray for a whole day (with breaks) and possibly walk to and from the synagogue.

As someone who's never been Moslem, I'd be very tempted to laugh, rather than vomit when someone tries to link anything out of the ordinary to Laylatool Qadr. (There are Christian equivalents, especially among US evangelicals, and I laugh at their absurd claims.)
I hadn't heard of people doing a second fast after Ramadan - that's ridiculous.
Are you in a Moslem country? If you're not, would you be willing to consider, would you be able to consider making a break with your family and your community and laying down your own rules. e.g. I'm very happy to see you but I am no longer a believer in your religion and that is something about me that you are going to have to accept.

Allah wanted muslims to pray 50 times a day. Being the almighty he fixed the number but Muhammad negotiated and brought it down to 5. So muslims should decide if they want to follow Allah or Muhammad.

For many centuries ago, we the human tried to communicate with gods and forms of communication such as symbols, signs etc and so on so on after that language formed. How come islamic god only had 1 (one) way to communicate with us through arab language only. Impossible you know, tribe's religion is trying to fool you to accept to all nonsenses and fictions😂

Glad Sir, that you have been free from this spiritual bondage .
Have you looked into the life of Jesus Christ? :
He called an associate with a another woman - an adultery. (Matt 5;27, 28)
He never promoted Mutah. ( Adultery according to Jesus )
He forgave the ones who crucified Him.( Luke 23:34-38).
Never told his disciple to kill the ones who disagreed with him, - Mark 3: 21 ( or called him ' demon possessed ' - ( Mathew 12: 22 -32 )
He forgave the woman caught in adultery.
    ( Warned her not to sin again ). ( John 8:11 )
