Hey Trogly…why not a “blown apart” The Les Paul display? You’ve got almost everything required to do a display like that…..
the Pelham Blue made me laugh out loud
Wow...that neck blew me away...was not expecting that lol..that's really special man...very cool score on all of it...
That neck looks like it is a _literal_ BFG neck! (Barely finished guitar) 😂
The natural finished The Les Paul is basically the perfect looking guitar. If I were to make my own it would look almost identical to a the les paul.
I bet those two large holes in the neck are indexing holes to line up the pin router.
This stuff couldn’t have gone to a better guy. I don’t think I even blinked watching this episode. And I love the wine red and that Steve Howe one is wow !! Amazing stuff today !!
No one more deserving to have these goodies in the museum collection ' well done Trogly '
Very cool Les Paul history lesson. Thank you for sharing.
It’s a favorite niche topic of mine. I don’t get tired of looking at TLP’s.
I have never seen the pearl keystones wow kool find 🤘
Roger Fisher (one of Heart’s founding members and their original lead guitarist) played this model on tour with the band in 1978. Awesome sounding guitarist & guitar! Wow! 🎸⚡🔥
One of my favorite episodes, Trogly!
I love how excited Trogly gets here! Really cool stuff and thanks for sharing!
Excellent. Your passion is appreciated!
Perfect for your next Partscaster 😂
I'm not a hard core Gibson fanboy by any stretch, but I just spent a good 15 minutes of my day sharing in your excitement. Darn you, Trog. . .
Thank you for doing this for us Trogly! Couldn't have been cheap to put together.
Those keystone tuners are amazing looking.
I never knew or would have thought the extra screw was through a leg! I figured it was there to anchor the ring because (maybe??) the wood needed it. WOW!
I love how passionate you are with the Les Paul guitar. I'd love to visit your museum someday.
Me when I saw the title: Oh sweet, probably a cool guitar.
Austin: I got a NOS nut and fancy tuners! 😂
Specifically for “the Les pauls, they only made 77 of them. Bro literally got an unused NOS neck from the 70s.
So when are we getting this museum? It's been years now.
Your museum is gonna rock!
Good luck in finding more goodies!
Start a worldwide search and find that SG with the TLP veneer.
It is up in Kalamazoo!
Wow Austin, what an amazing find so glad that you were the one to get that stuff. That’s absolutely incredible. Who knows maybe you’ll find the other pieces one day that’s absolutely outstanding happy for you. Thank you for sharing. That. Absolutely amazing.
the dude is more careful with a tuner/machine-head then he was with the ed king burst. noice!
Nice episode Trogly thank you for sharing your find. I sure your glad you made the call.
Wow!! What a great find!! 😍
Quiet the score!! I'm happy for you. Somebody's gotta get this stuff, and you show it off, so... thank you!
Those are the most beautiful tuners I’ve ever seen🥹
I want to put a set of those on my Gibson Les Paul Custom 57 reissue. It would be soooo beautiful and they would pop out sooooo much😮💨
Sadly I can’t find ANYTHING alike those tuners. Not even fake once. Might buy some mother of pearl material to make my own set of Stonekey Tuners from a pair of grovers.
Beautiful stuff you got there man!
Hurry up with the museum already!!! Please and thanks
Now this is content I love!
You know what, it would be a real joy to use those parts in a guitar mod Project lol
Love these guitar obsessions!
That was pretty cool to see !!
Trogley, I’m pretty sure the wooden The Les Paul knobs came from my plug collection for my ears from about 15 years ago when I had my ears stretched way out big haha 😆
You should place the parts and neck into a counter top and fill with resin to keep them safe so cool man. 😂😂😂😂 great channel and very informative keep it up.
The gloves gave me a chuckle
When you live on Cheetos, Slim Jim's and KFC, one does not wish to lube up the packaging... See Book of Kells ...
Put on gloves, but ended up touching a bunch of things with an ungloved right hand, lmao
Damn…..those are some cool parts for those. This model was so nice 👍
i'm not a les paul guy but i'd for sure LOVE to own a "The Les Paul". the wood binding everywhere and necks are just beautiful!!!!
the natural the les pauls are just, wow, out of this world
Very Cool. Love stuff like this
Yeah man, brilliant finds!❤
Great show.
Great episode, I really enjoyed it.
Great find Trogly !!
great show. thanks trog
Nice find!❤
Great episode.
Cool video Trogly! I love niche topics.
Wow…what a treasure! Makes you wonder what other ‘rejects’ are floating around. Thanks for sharing.
The machine heads are cool!
Crazy cool find, Trogly!
In my opinion the best looking lespaul after that one The Paul I once saw with the most insane walnut wood grain and a big ole bigsby 😊
Thank you for bringing us these pieces of history! 😊🎸
The Schaller box you have is later, as it says Made in Germany rather than Made in W. Germany. Schaller changed in 1992 but used up old stock.
Great find my friend. 🤘
That fretboard and binding is a great example showing why their boards can't be put on the swing sander leaving the tooling marks behind.
Great stuff!
It would be cool to have a display case of parts like these like how some people have those glass displays of civil war relics 😎
These are my fav episodes sooooo many possibilities. It would be cool if Murphy lads built it for you
The neck is pretty cool
You have to hunt down the SG with the veneer.
Pretty dang cool dude!
Wow! You should use these parts to build a NOS The Les Paul.
That C stamp on the neck heel, could have been a grade, so maybe they rejected it and only used A and B stamped necks?
This one is EXTRA COOL!
This was a great vid!
Call Joe Bonamassa. He probably has several of those headstock veneers and the other parts you’re needing to complete your collection. 😅
Well these guitars only appeal to a small group im sure. im not one of those but im glad you got some thing you like fore sure. same for the parts. all out of my price range or want range. enjoy!
great video!
Wow, awesome, historic Kalamazoo The Les Paul parts, great find! Glad to see you using gloves on these, I hope you'll use gloves on the paper archival items you obtain as well.
Far out idea would be to use one of those raw Gibson 'flag body' units to make a hybrid.
❤it that made my day thanks build one of a kind guitars from history Wicked
Trogly, are you interested in a NOS L5 Wes Montgomery gold tailpiece ?
I have one that I got from Gibson to replace the one on my L5, but I kept the original tailpiece .
Im sure them speed knobs would look great on the Dirty Cherry Burst that i bought after watching a guitar hunting episode in January. But i dont know if i can afford them right now
You should contact Roger Fisher of heart. (BREATHE). He famously smashed his The Les Paul, which led to him getting fired from the band. Maybe he still has the parts lying around
Beautiful Guitars Austin!😎👍 Gibson Gold! Good video too.😎🤘⭐️⭐️🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️🎉🇺🇸🌅
I love ephemera 🤗
That neck and I share a birthday! Well... I'm 2 years older.
Hi Austin...Included in that estate sale there was a schematic of the prehistoric 1982 30th Anniversary LP Goldtop...Id love to be able to buy and frame that since I own one of those guitars...Do you think Eric might own it or be able to help me track it down?
Thanks for any help or suggestions
I have pearl or pearloid on an 85 Studio Standard - assuming pearloid
occasionally a freak standard will get the left over 335-s tuners or someone has swapped into them
The tempco (temperature coefficient ) of your meter is probably higher (a high tempco is a bad thing) then that of the pick-up. Besides that this meter does not have good specs or stability over time. It will probably on paper be something like 3 to 5% in real worse. The last digit does not say much because there is were the uncertainty is) We only use that to see if something is drifting up or down) It is called in my world (electronic measurement and calibration gear) a toy meter. To state it in guitar terms: your meter is a not great build Chibson, :-)
I just tried the tempco, I need to heat up the pickup a lot (+30 degrees or so) to see some change and that change was something like 10 ohm .
You often measure both pick-ups just for fun. What you measure is the 2 pickups in parallel. If you measure both separate you already know the "both" resistance. Rtotal=((R1+R2)/(R1*R2)) but it is a nice check to test if the switch is good.
Why did they dropped the velute ?
Doesn't it make the neck a lot resistant and of course beautiful.
I would totally love owning the Steve Howe The Paul! One of my favorite guitarists!
Fun fact: Jean-Claude Van Damme's character's name in the motion picture masterpiece Cyborg is Gibson Rickenbacker.
Lots of crazy music brand character names: Marshall Strat, Fender Tremolo, Nady Simmons, Pearl Prophet… 😂
Les Paul jr's,TV etc are never to have gold hdwr....wtf
Very very Cool!
So awesome
Said it before ,u should been carpenter 😅
It wouldn’t surprise me if most of the leftover bodies wound up as employee guitars.
Any updates on the museum? I’m sure you have many fans who are looking forward to seeing your collection perhaps a show on where you’re at with this project👍
He might when the Smithsonian has room for his display.
Hey Trogly, have you noticed that Mike Dirnt’s been pulling out a silver burst Epiphone G3? Think they’re going to be releasing it as a signature soon? How much you think that’s gonna go for?
Was going to comment this hope he sees it!!
@@grayslimer99 yeah, been waiting for it to show up in one of his videos since I know he’s a Green Day fan. But I guess he usually focuses on Billie’s signatures. Probably because up until now Mike’s been signed with Fender.
Did Trogly do a review of the natural finish The Les Paul? If so, it's obviously very hard to find.

@@Trog Thank you, good sir! Just discovered your channel two months ago, and I'm binging your videos!
In my opinion, the best Les Paul ever made.
I love the "The Les Paul" as much as I love Fender's "The Strat" for most of the same reasons. I've always wanted one of each, as well as an original Schecter Dream Machine with natural finish, brass and gold hardware, and a Schecter PT...same hardware. I did get a PT, natural finish, brass and gold hardware, so I'm at least part way there.
Oh dear, the gloves again....
Why is everyone always givinf him a hard time,?
He probably wearing them to keep the oil and s**t from his fingers feom all over what he touches
you should make a guitar man
I'm guessing this all came from Pete Morenos shop?
