- Overview of Svay Rieng Province.
-Svay Rieng Province is located in southeast Cambodia. The province shares borders with Vietnam, which surrounds it to the north, east, and south.
-Bavet City is the provincial capital of Svay Rieng Province.
-The province is subdivided into 6 districts: Chanthrea, Kampong Rou, Romdoul, Romeas Haek, Svay Chrom, Svay Theab; and 2 municipalities: Svay Rieng, Bavet.
-Total area: 2,966 km2.
-Population (2019): 525,497.
-Population density: 177/km2'
-Currency in Cambodia: US dollars and Cambodian riel is also allowed to pay. At the ATM, you have the option of withdrawing USD or Riel.
-The local people are very friendly and cheerful with visitors.
