My last passport expired without ever having a stamp on it. The older I get, the less willing I want to travel. Even to JB.

Many Sgreans are naive when it comes to snow. As someone who lives and is from Canada, snow is NOT fun at all, especially as one gets older. If living kn a house, all that snow shovelling, snow blowing one has to do, whenever there is a snow storm, which sometimes can last for a few days. Coupled with blustery cold winds and temperatures dropping to minus 10⁰C, it becomes even more dreadful. Roads become treacherous and one has to be really careful how one drives. I can go on and on about how winter and snow can be......

If we want people to spend money in our country, we must be gracious enough to spend it in theirs.

Yes, I agree, Malaysian local food are by and large better than Singapore’s and they are also affordable. I believe one of the main reasons that Singapore’s local food can’t compare, was because of the high rental cost amongst other factors which affects the ingredients and portioning. Hawkers have to try and keep cost low to compete for whatever meagre profits after deductions..

It's not the snow that cancel flights. It's the ice on the wings and runway and not enough de-icing machines.

Snow can cause delays too. If there is a huge snow storm that last for days, the snow can pile up very quickly, sometimes up to 10 ft. Just like de-icing, if there aren't enough snow plows and staff to remove the snow from runways in a timely manner, there is no way the plane can taxi through the thick snow for takeoff. Snow has to be removed from the tops of planes too, as it is dangerous to fly with snow on the plane, not just ice. In fact, icing usually occurs only after freezing rain or rain mixed with snow weather, not when it is purely lots of snow.
