  • As kids growing up, there was no more of a tighter bond than Louis Force and his adventurous little brother John
    Force.
In this episode of Storytellers, Louis and John, early in their drag racing careers decide to head east out
to the NHRA Gatornationals. Louis usually did all of the driving pulling their Chaparral trailer, but on the cross-country
return home; the eldest of the siblings made the unwise decision to hand over the driving chores to John somewhere in Texas so he could grab some sleep.
What happened next when Louis woke up is a story worth telling, especially when John had taken a wrong turn and landed the Brute Force Funny Car team in Mexico.

Louis is a great story teller. I used to work with him at a machine shop in Seattle. You get him started you will be entertained.

I saw Louis Force in Mission B.C. performing in his Wheel Stander truck. Between runs he would just sleep sitting in the little truck ! He must have been tired from all the travelling, but he put on an awesome show.

The Force brothers can do whatever they want in the USA or Mexico. They grew up in Bell Gardens, CA. Back in them days, there wasn't nothing there but Mexicans, Oakies, Arkies, and Native Americans. 😁!!

I knew a couple (American Anglos) many decades ago that took many camping trips to Mexico. They carried cases of beer with them just to pay off the local authorities in case of problems. Me, I just stayed away from the border.
