I am so sorry for your loss. I am grateful that each loved one passes only once because the pain can seem almost unbearable. I imagine that hearing this is sad and happy at the same time. Thank you for sharing your warm and loving and memories with us. Sonny Turner who replaced lead singer Tony Williams in 1959, passed away on Th - Jan 13, 2022. To me, music is a universal language of the soul. We don't necessarily need to understand the words for the sound to touch you. But knowing the words ensures that it will be stamped into our brain and spirit forever. I am sure that I would have liked your dad. I have been around long enough to experience oldies music with my daughter, and now her children listen to it too. The only thing is that most oldies I was around for when they came out...lol I have memories from age 2 when my mom would drive to Long Beach Naval Base and pick up my dad. I remember standing up in the front seat and listen to the radio. My mom was shocked when I described my memory because my memory was detailed and I was only 2. That wasn't the only memory that I had at such a young age, but this one had to do with music. There were a couple of other ones, but they weren't music related. I hope and pray that you and your loved ones have all of the happiness, joy, peace, good health, and Love that you can experience in life!!
