    • @chloejames9931
      @chloejames9931 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      I agree; he shouldn't be on this list for cutting him off. Continued financial support would only fund his drug use.

    • @karentucker2161
      @karentucker2161 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Exactly! I don't know why he is even on the list. Having family members who use and abuse alcohol and drugs...I love them but I will not hand th money because I know exactly what they are going to do with it because I seen what they have done with it and one has stolen from their own disabled mom while she was in the hospital on life support and pawned her jewelry for drugs. If they want to get cleaned I don't mind supporting them on that but I don't support their habit. Two of the four are homeless because they choose that. They know that they don't have to and they have burnt some bridges because they can't be trusted by themselves in anyone's home because they steal you blind and would use drugs and alcohol in the home.

    • @sailorsister211
      @sailorsister211 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Agreed, my cousin suffered from drug addiction, he got my aunt and uncle full-on support, they even defend him when other family members shame him. However, they cut him off financially until he got help and was 100% sober bc if they gave him any type of money, they didn't want to be the reason why he has easier access to drugs and alcohol.

    • @WarriorMongoose
      @WarriorMongoose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Tom Hanks should not be on list and I'm not just saying that because he's a famous friendly actor I'm saying that because seriously he just didn't want to give his son money to buy drugs! And his son was being out of control. Sadly sometimes it takes tough love to show your love.

    I can really relate to that, I became that kind of adult that felt guilty if I didn't recycle the rubbish, I have an aversion to lies, greed and any kind of fakeness precisely because I got hit by 2 parents with very debatable morals, I had no idea what I wanted to be growing up, but by 10 I knew exactly what I didn't want to be, so I became a very very different person from my parents

    You really said my daughter said I socked her in the face a few yrs after being a toddler to sell books, really. No one’s that hard up. All this nepotism in Hollywood there’s 15% room left for talent ppl that aren’t related to someone famous. Out of the 15% 10 is for friends & ppl with out connections aka who you know to get on. The 5% left is given to ppl that come from the 1% that can afford Yale, Juliard, and whatever distinguished acting schools&classes some starting from primary school. The final 2% is for super talented ppl that go to casting or mail in demos. Those ppl usually never get leads tho and in the music industry they’ll get famous but not rich because of shitty contracts

      It's common to accuse people of abuse when they're no longer a threat. I did that, too (my "Mother" has Narcissistic Personality Disorder). Shiloh, Billie, and Sarah did that with Onision (Narcissistic TH-camr), too. Some of them left in the middle of the night (I did that, too). Edit: I believe that Courtney Love has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, as well. Basically: this is common for abuse victims.

    Jesus christ, MacKenzie's father is burning in hell, as he should, gosh I know it happened a while ago, but I just feel like that stays with you forever, bless her heart. But wtf, can we address that Latoya said her father sexually abused her, and it was swept under the rug, then Michael "allegedly" hurt kids. Mmmmmh, I've heard kids being sexually abused, have a 8/10 rate of doing the samething to other kids, as an adult. Do understand, this is simply *my* theory, but I'll leave it up to you, to put 2 and 2, together. Also, though it doesnt happen often (kid stars speaking out about abuse) lets be mindful that the samething happened to El debarge, and his siblings, and their mother knew their father was doing this, too. So, it's definitely more common than we think

    Having evil cruel unusual parents really does suck and it shapes your outlook on life! I know personally because my mom was similar to Eminem’s mom which I’m surprised y’all didn’t mention and my dad was missing just like his dad also! But you know what’s equally as painful as having horrible parents is having people who have great parents gaslight and discredit your horrible experiences! I learnt once I got older to never mention how horrible your parents are around people because there’s always some foolish lowlife idiot that won’t believe you and will only think about their good relationships while they know nothing about your life! They will say things like oh you only get one parent(so I’m the only daughter) they’ll stay stuff like life is too short(yeah to have your mental health destroyed) basically just warning people if you haven’t learned by now keep your opinions about your family to yourself around people that don’t know your life!

And I'm so sick of people, friends, acquaintances, co-workers etc who have very loving, stable, healthy parents and families and look back fondly on their childhoods becoming indignant with me as if I'm responsible for turmoil! They say the most ridiculous, thoughtless, ignorant things like "you only get one mother"! I'm like no kidding?! Wanna TRADE?! UGH!

Male artists get praise for being wild, she's mostly gotten bashed - and by a generation who probably never even heard her music or know that her band was groundbreaking or that her talent, drive and scathing middle-finger attitude was exactly what Kurt loved about her.

    All we can do is move on from bad parents.. after a certain age you can't keep blaming your mother for destroying you your father for not being there for you in a way that he should have and or influencing you with the wrong stuff...and other horrible feelings that I felt growing up.. does it suck? Yes. Do I wish I had a mother to cry on her shoulder when I have a problem? Absolutely. But I've realized my 37 years s*** ain't going to change big sigh.. sometimes parents just aren't parents and you just got to move on.. if your mother gets drunk and wants to call you on your birthday claiming she still loves you and then the next day talks s*** to you well that's probably another form of toxic relationship if your father abandoned you and if your mother talks crap to you about how you look and cause you fat that's probably a form of toxic relationship and it should be avoided.. these arent alll just my experiences but others as well.. think about it if a boyfriend or girlfriend talk to you the way intoxicant talk to you would you keep them all around? Would you keep dealing with any of you? I think one problem is people talking you into reuniting with parents who are toxic.. you never hear anybody say that about a toxic abusive boyfriend or girlfriend right?

    • @fruithippie
      @fruithippie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think people WANT to be victims. My mom grew up in the 60s/70s to parents who kept telling her that they would have been fine with a family of 5 instead of a family of 6 (she was not planned). They never once told her that they loved her and they were abusive to her in an emotional way and she abuse from her dad to her mom and brother. Her dad is still alive, in his 90s, and still gives her grief about everything under the sun- most recently she wouldn't have gotten skin cancer if she didn't move away from home (she lives in TX now). She didn't realize that what she experienced was abuse- seeing my grandpa hit my grandma, beat up my uncle, and my grandpa slapping her from time to time- because it was more accepted then. It's 2022, people want to be treated well. And every single person has issues with their parents. I love my parents, they were the best I could have asked for, but I still have a few issues with them, that is part of life. So people don't want to be victims, they just have unaddressed issues.

      Possibly trauma-bonding. It's difficult to imagine for everyday people, but it essentially means that you bond with your abuser as a way to get out of being abused by them. My brother did something similar with my own Mother with (diagnosed) N*rcissistic Personality Disorder. (I was a bit more defiant. Ran away when I was 11, haven't seen her since 2001.) She got banned from my school and two hospitals because she kept showing up and trying to argue with them. My current hospital won't even let her in because she has a history of doing this. None of us (me, my brother, my Dad) talk to her now. (I believe that Courtney allegedly has N*rcissistic Personality Disorder, as well.)

Even though Jason was a young child in the industry they have been very close, and his mom acts like a mother. She doesn't exploit her family. She fought for him to get royalties from the Lion King. He was the original voice of Simba because of his mom actually being a good parent, he is still here and has a great life all while collecting royalties he earned being a child star. Love his mom for doing that for Jason. She helps her kids live out their dreams, and doesn't look at them like a paycheck like most stage and industry parents in Hollywood. Props to her!
