Heyyyyyy lovelies, in this video I am creating some totally unique and fun pieces using Vinyl, waterproof jar labels. I did a similar project last year with a vintage genre and keys. This time around we are going stamping crazy and using our stamps to create a bold and bright design on our labels. I ordered some open bezels and closed bezels from Amazon alongside a one inch hole punch and just watch the magic happen. This is an absolute beginner friendly resin project and a beginner friendly UV Resin project also.

Try punching a double layer of aluminum foil to sharpen the punch. Woks for sharpening your scissors too. I cut the top & bottom off an aluminum soda can. I slice down the middle part making very thin slices and all my scissors are very sharp. Costs you nothing.
I do this with my punches and scissors. Such a great tip. I’ve been using a circle punch for almost ten years on a daily basis for my door knob business. 😊

You're so creative. You know they make alcohol ink markers? You'd be able to come in and pickup some of the shadows and highlights. I'm not sure why more resin artists haven't figured this out yet. Maybe I should make a video. 😛
If you want to sharpen your punches after using the vinyl, just punch through some tinfoil and it will refresh the edges of your cutting blade.

Just a tip for u Claire, and I no u said wanted random with the punched out image.But if u want precise and turn the punch upside down,u can punch out exact bit u want.

lovely :) you could also use them inks on polymer, if you roll it out thin enough you can use your punch when it´s baked 😉

Love these! A tip for your hole punch. If you turn the bottom toward you then use it that way you can see what you are punching out if you need or want it to be precise.

Thes are so cute! Your creativity is therapeutic to watch. Love how happy you are. Tip I found for the hole punch. You can sharpen the cutting blade by punching a few circles in tin foil 😁.

Tip for hole punch is to let it sit on the hard surface and slide your paper into the slot. I can't believe you only did one Blue 💙 that was the best color...OMG💙💙💙

Sometimes if punches get stuck I use them to punch wax paper this seems to help.also Yupo paper works really well with alcohol inks ots like a plastic its not self adhesive but may punch better.

I don't do resin, but I do a LOT with vinyl, so i'm confused as i'm sitting here watching the beginning thinking "this seems like so much work for labels? Why not just use a sheet of blank waterproof vinyl??" Then you got there... 😂

Hi Claire, these circle cutters don’t cope too well cutting through certain papers. Have you tried turning the stickers over so it cuts through paper first, rather than the sticker?
Alternatively, if you invest in a cricut machine you could cut perfect circles at exactly the same size. 😊

This has given me so many ideas on how to use my craft stash with resin. I have all sorts of inks & paints etc that I make backgrounds for cards with. One technique that comes to mind is some backgrounds i've already done using Tim Holtz distress oxide ink pads, blending them over glossy photo paper then rubbing it back off again. The colour stays but becomes bright & shiny, perfect for doing something like this ☺
