I’d like to share that I got to see the show a few months ago and during the puppet show scene, there was a little girl in the front row that Alex made eye contact with, and Alex screamed, “WHYYYYYYYYYY??!?!? I SAY MY PRAYERS EVERY NIGHT WHY IS THIS GODS PLAN” That man is an icon
I loved the puppet show part at the beginning lol And there was literally a child in the front row Also the actor at my local theater changed it and asked "do you ever feel like you have everything but you're unloved?" And after everyone went silent, someone in the crowd shouted "yeah!" And this actor had to improvise and said "Well I was gonna say that guy over there (points to my side of the crowd) but apparently, that guy over there does too! (points to other side)" 😂
I saw the musical during the most recent (and still ongoing) tour I tried to do that but my anxiety got the better of me so all that came out was a meek “yea” 😭

I love the “Ands that’s how I… made… NACHOS with Kathrine Hepburn!!” It’s so hilarious 😂 lololol I saw this on December 26, 2022 when it was the understudy and he did a pretty great job! I wish I was able to see my favorite man Alex but Will did an incredible job and since I know exactly what Alex’s voice sounds like I can just replace Wills voice with Alex’s and know what it would sound like generally I hope anyone that sees this is having an awesome day and take care of yourselves ♥️
My partner's sibling thought it was straight because they only heard the soundtrack and I had to explain that Beetlejuice is specifically a problematic pan and I had to show them videos of Beetlejuice sexually harassing everyone.

I love these funny scenes, but I don't really know how to feel about the musical as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Beetlejuice! I love the movie and the animated series and own quite a bit of merchandise! On one hand, I really, REALLY like the creative set designs and most of the songs, but something about this musical still feels a bit off. I legit just can't place my finger on it. 🤔
I think its the whole redemption arc. Like the movies etc Beetlejuice is a jerk and got what he deserved in the end. In the musical it was too...fluffy hugs and butterflies ya know?
@ftw7026 there's probably a balance somewhere where he learns his lesson and can still be an asshole. If they went for him straight up killing everyone I feel like it'd just be him staring at the crowd like "welp. That's all folks." For Lydia it would've been interesting if they pulled something similar to that live-action Casper movie where the dad becomes a ghost or something temporarily, but then I guess that'd get rid of the whole demon mother arc with Beetlejuice...hmm
