Doppelmayr UNI-G gondola drive startup

Here's a clip of Sea to Sky Gondola's bottom drive terminal starting up, and accelerating. This lift is a Doppelmayr gondola, with UNI-G terminals, CWA cabins, and other standard Doppelmayr equipment.

Am I right in thinking they’ve added a gondola storage area with enough space for all the gondolas and now take them off every night?

They do now have a storage rail at the bottom terminal, for all 30 cabins. In addition, they have security cameras along the lift line around the areas the cable was previously cut.
