Excellent solution.
Do you have any idea what pressure it applies?
I saw a press in a book by George Kollef (master shoe maker) some years back- It was a tank with a rubber membrane that you press the sole onto. The tank is filled with water and so provides a very even pressure across the whole sole. If I find it I will let you know as you would like it.
