On god, P3P is the superior P3 experience. Controllable party members, visual novel style, balance changes, FeMC and it doesn't include The Answer so you don't have to play through 30+ hours of that crap
tbh The Answer isn't that bad, the only bad thing about is that Chidori stays dead and SEES just learn the obvious.
The character development is what makes it worth it, otherwise you'd just be left with a cliff hanger and are left going 'what the fuck is going to happen with the team now he's dead? how do they manage it?'
also P3P is only superior to its gameplay, with portable you're missing out on a fun hub world to explore instead replaced with a 2d plain, visualized 3d cutscenes, MOV cutscenes. Shinjiro dying isn't the same when you can't see Ken break down and start hitting the ground
I love how Junpei has no romantic interest in FemC and is just forced to put up with Ken & Akihiko's BS.

They didn’t have a older 3rd male main character due to junpei loving chidori
Only aki and shinji exist so they either had to make a new older main character or use someone in the sees squad so it’s either the chairman or the dog or the child

but for portable as FEMC? Without Ken, you'd just have Akihiko, Shinjiro and Theodore if you picked him as datable guys

@@woobgamer5210 There's also Ryoji, but there are really no Social Links besides his (which happen automatically too, with no extra scenes/date events). The confession scenes tend to happen at the end of the game or at Rank 10 with the FeMC (Hidetoshi, Bebe, Maiko's Dad) and you don't even have the option of dating them, and Shinji being left out of the picture meant not having to include him into different parts of the story but also not being able to have any additional dialogue, Kyoto trip dialogue, and Christmas event/New Year's reaction. They don't even add more convoluted options to get Platonic/Lovers just an extra scene -> Lovers. So really, it's like you only have one choice -- Aki. To make it seem like you have a choice other than Aki, they threw in Ken. It really feels like they never planned to make a FeMC for P3 and when they did they had trouble fleshing out the options.

It's always messed with me that after everything that happened with Chidori, Junpei became the most level-headed and rational member of SEES besides the protagonist. JUNPEI, of all people. This guy is an immature "Persona-Bro" for like three quarters of the game, but the trauma actually causes him to grow and take things seriously. Here he attempts to diffuse the situation in a jokey manner, knowing that the tensions are high and trying to de-escalate the conflict within his own team. JUNPEI DOES THAT. The Answer is probably the most obvious example of this, only in that case he's living in the aftermath of two losses, and he's even more level-headed and mature because of it. This is why Junpei will always be my favourite Persona character (with the exception of Adachi and tied with Ryuji, mostly for his willingness to literally die to save his team members). People really don't give him and his character arc the credit he deserves.

Like, think about it. Fuuka has no idea what she wants, Aigis has to make the choice herself but is busy tripping with her dark side. Akihiko and Ken have given up hope entirely and are willing to fight Mitsuru and Yukari, who both want to go back and try and maybe beat Death itself which could A. doom the world or B. result in nothing changing and SEES have to do all of this again.
Junpei, like Fuuka has a neutral stance of the unknown, but unlike Fuuka who can't coordinate the team, JUNPEI tries his best to keep everyone together to maybe make a decision rationally.
This is the man who made two operation babe hunts.
